My hubby and I thought we would try out the local Filipino Restaurant on Friday night. I ordered a noodle dish and he ordered a beef dish plus rice. I had a couple of mouthfuls of the glug that was in the bowl, it tasted revolting and odd. He also had a few mouthfuls of the very very dry beef with cold rice. We were both hungry but couldn’t continue. We got up, the lady serving noticed us leaving, saw our full bowls and smiled. Then headed towards another table. Never again! Plenty of other restaurants with pleasant customer service along this strip.Plus… they don’t have menus! You have to order at your table from your phone then go to the counter to buy your drink. We thought about discussing our food with them but decided it simply wasn’t worth being served a repeat of the same. Extremely disappointing!

This restaurant is slightly overrated in my honest opinion. Don’t get me wrong, I love and enjoy Filipino cuisine. The fish that we ordered was served burnt, literally the fish was burnt underneath. Unsure if it was intended. The noodle was okay, nothing too extraordinary. The wait time was long although there wasn’t lots of customers at the time. The service was poor and slow, food tasted okay and nothing special. The price was expensive for what we got.

The food was great, the staff were so sweet and helpful as well. Service was top tier. Atmosphere was on pointWe had the roasted pork belly, which are so juicy with an amazingly crunch skin, great dipping sauce too. The Asian greens were abit salty for my liking but well balanced with a touch acidityWe also had the entree testers thing (I forgot what it's called). Everything was amazing. No joke. Personal favourite has to be the calamari rings, so crunchy on the outside but the outside is still tender. Special mention also to the fishballs and spring rolls that honestly reminded me of homeLast but not least, the halo halo, honestly so so so good. You need to try it

Not bad for a simple filipino restaurant and a place to bring family . It can be improved on the taste, maybe a bit more flavour, especially on the assorted entree,But I’ll definitely try again, the crispy pata kare kare special is definitely the winner. And i wish they have more drinks options.

Four of us had dinner, 3 of us had pork belly, the other bbq. We all loved it, pork belly was crispy and tender. We had ube cake which was delicious. The restaurant was understaffed, but despite that we felt welcomed, and I think the lady who was cooking was the owner. She was very friendly. The wait time was acceptable.I would definitely go back here again.

My partner and I came here on Valentine’s Day. There is a QR code that you can simply order your meal and make the payment, too. We ordered a platter, two dishes and Halo-Halo. Platter was great, but mains were average and overpriced. It was a long wait after we ordered our meals, about 35 to 45 minutes. We came all the way from Pasadena to Manila, but it was quite disappointing.

My wife and I were invited to the opening of this brand new Filipino restaurant at Semaphore. It’s quite a beautiful and vibrant presentation feels like eating out at a barbecue by the beach, woven light shades and the entrance roof lined with leaves. Rustic brickwork captures your attention. The service was very friendly and the atmosphere felt relaxed and comfortable. The food was absolutely delicious and tasty; authentic Filipino cuisine.

Here we are trying for the first time Filipino cuisine . So as we ate , there’s a familiarity in the taste of the food so everything was ok then we had the crackling roast pork - POW instant smile to everyone & we paid attention !!! Being marketed as street food , the way they served the food with each mains having its own serve of rice and salad , did not really make it conducive to sharing apart from the entree

This place appears to be quite overpriced (particularly considering the small portions) but I’m so glad we tried it as the flavour and quality did make up for it (we all know how hard it is to find a place with reliable quality). The pork belly servings were only 4-5 small rectangles each but had crispy skin and the fat was well rendered and very enjoyable. The rice was very over cooked (and/or old), so they should take more care of this if they want to keep customers coming back for more.Overall I highly rate the food but for the more frugal of you, I think you might feel it is overpriced.
