Cessnock Plaza Pharmacy

Fantastic until I got to the front counter and was served by 2 of the rudest old women in Cessnock. Disappointing considering the other ladies and gentlemen in the store are all beautiful, friendly faces

Some lovely staff - but the rudest women in Cessnock gives out scripts - my heart sinks when i see her in the store

We have been regular customers for at least 6 months. My husband and I could not understand why there were so many negative reviews, especially in relation to customer service. Medications at this pharmacy are very expensive, but it is conveniently located.Today we found out why there are negative reviews. We met the staff member who has had so many complaints. She was very rude and disrespectful. She did not want to admit an error had been made on their part. But it was not the error that caused my anger and frustration, it was how it was dealt with. We were not taken seriously, and staff did not offer to rectify the problem until it was too late.After speaking with our doctor about the issue, we discovered that this is common practice for some pharmacies. They “lose” your prescription, and then hold it hostage. Apparently if they have a record of your prescription in their system, they can administer more medication but cannot give you a copy of the script. So basically, all they need to do to try to force you to return to their store by accidentally losing” your original copy or even claiming you did not give it to them. This is what happened with us.I was not aware that pharmacies do this since it has never happened to us before. What annoys me is that we were regular customers

Two stars because the young man helping me at the prescription counter was friendly and helpful. -3 stars because the woman standing next to him (Olivia) was coughing repeatedly and not wearing a mask, or covering her mouth. Just coughing away in our general direction without a care in the world. Maybe give her some training on infection control?

Such a lovely Pharmacy and the staff are always so helpful.

I had my prescriptions filled today and my wife and I were shocked at the outrageous cost at more than double at other Pharmacies and triple of discount pharmacies. We are travelling retirees and questioned the cost and were told it was because of being a private pharmacy. This is clearly not our experience and have been to many private pharmacies across Australia.

Charge one concession card holder one price for a product and another concession card holder a different price if you’ve been approved for medicinal cannabis take your scripts elsewhere unless you want to be stung on top costs to what your medication even cost Medreleaf concession scheme meant to make things $99 but this pharmacy will charge you $150 yet you walk over the road and there’s no such thing as a service fee?

I have been going to this Pharmacy for years and am impressed on every occasion by the attention and professionalism of all the staff, from the most junior to the senior Pharmacists.

Just had my AZ jab and everyone was so lovely and helpful. RN that administered my jab answered all questions that I asked with a clear wealth of knowledge.Kept me calm and comfortable for the entire process.
