Great park if you have kids on a sunny day. Plenty of seating for adults, and an excellent play ground for the kids - best for those about 3 and up. There's a small 'beach' with sand and a protected section of the bay in which you could swim if you wanted. There is reasonable parking near by and a couple of food options, but nothing extravagant. There is shade and even barbecues.

It's a lovely spot but unfortunately a combination of bored/grubby people and thinly spread council resources the amenities are often dirty. The swimming area is netted but water and shoreline aren't ideal. I've heard it's getting a makeover soon which will be wonderful as it could be a great spot.
