The owner/operator of this property has just defrauded me of the total cost of my 5 nights stay as I could not travel due to the latest state government COVID restrictions.Upon contacting the property to advise of the situation, I was advised by David to cancel my booking via Booking.com and that I will be given a voucher, only to deny this after the fact.Don't trust these people.

Very friendly owners that where more helpful than the local tourist office. Having seen the rooms and met them I d recommend the place to anyone seeking a bit a better accommodation in the area.

Great stay here, I had made a mistake with my booking dates and arrived earlier than planned. The staff were amazing and put a huge effort into fixing the problem for me. And to top it off, room was huge, bed very comfortable, breakfast yummy, very clean and easy walk everywhere. Highly recommended.

Please be very very careful when booking this hotel! Especially in the current situation with Covid. The owner of this property refused to give us even a voucher, not to mention a refund, for 5 nights stay during the 5 days lockdown in February 2021. So, we could not travel not because we did not want to (the car was packed, the annual leave was organised) but because of the Government direction and the owner could not care less about that and therefore could not care less about the health of law abiding citizens. All he cares about- is money, our money that he kept. So, when people said in other reviews that he is the best host, maybe…but God help you if something goes wrong!- lockdown for example. Kiss your money and your holiday goodbye!!!.Hello everyone!I just wanted to add to my review which I left previously.After the owner of Mallacoota Wave Oasis put us in an awful situation, refusing to offer us even a change of dates, not to mention a refund when the lockdown was enforced - we still believe in people and common sense.Recently we had our holiday booked, in Cairns and the owner of the property, given the current situation, without any hesitation gave as a refund! Not a voucher but actual refund!!! which proves one more time- the people like the owner of this property is not supposed to be allowed to run such a business when dealing with customers; this is Greedy, dishonest and shameless.Once again- in such a situation in the world with a Covid- think twice (even more) before booking this property.

At short notice and looking online last week I came across this property and saw a vacancy. I called the Waves Oasis direct and spoke with the owner Dave who was extremely polite and told me he'd had a cancellation and one of his studio rooms was available. From Check-in to check-out the process was straightforward. The studio apartment was fitted out with a small kitchenette which was so handy as I was able to cook each night. Dave had highlighted a map upon arrival which meant I could navigate around the town and all the beautiful walks on offer at Mallacoota. This property is energy efficient and has electric car charging points. I also got to experience picking fresh oranges, lemons, and mandarins and was told I could help myself to the freshly grown spring onion and silver beet which was a bonus. We really enjoyed our stay. Property was very clean. The host- David went above and beyond. Would definitely come back to this friendly town.

I was fortunate enough to book the studio with less than a weeks notice directly with Dave (owner). our room was comfortable, clean and excellent amenities. Good location, relaxing 3 days.

Very poor experience.Advertising and photos of this property are very very misleading.Only one property has a view. Our 'deluxe' room with 'garden view' was small and gloomy with no garden and no view.Be aware that this property is also a long walk to Mallacoota itself.Very overpriced and very disappointing.The owner refused to refund and would not negotiate.
