An unexpected gem in Springfield. The BLT A+C I my wife and I ordered for lunch was amazing. The coffee was also top shelf. I certainly hope this cafe stays around, and does well for years to come. If others experience what I did, it certainly should.

The Cafe Kalina Springfield
This is usually my fav cafe to take family and friends to but was a bit of a miss today. Don't know if they've changed chefs or maybe usual chef doesn't work weekends as I usually come during weekdays. But I always get salmon eggs benedict and this time ordered it with a side of bacon and mushrooms. Bacon was missing and eggs were overcooked and no butter on toast when they usually have butter on it. Salmon was edible but not as fresh looking as on previous occasions. Mushrooms were delicious though. Furthermore, ordered pot of green tea which didn't arrive until I had almost finished my meal (even after asking twice where my green tea was). Service is always friendly and lovely though and they did apologise each time i had to remind them about my green tea. Also this is the first time I had issues here hence the 3*. The French toast my friend ordered looked yummy and she enjoyed it very much. It actually came with an overload of bacon so perhaps they put my missing bacon on her meal? There was so much that she shared half of it. French toast with bacon, eggs bene with salmon, bacon and mushrooms, green tea and long decaf in a mug came to $65 (unsure if there's a Sunday surcharge included in that price).

Such a beautiful place to have coffee and breakkie! Really grateful we found this hidden gem. Not only is the coffee excellent but the elevated and breezy position makes it a great place to just relax and take in the views. Also the food is excellent! It definitely far exceeded our expectations:)

In all elements this cafe was way below expectations: we arrived and a staff member said that there were no tables available “sorry”. I went to another staff member which immediately assigned a table for us (there were several free tables) but this staff member also didn’t provide any menu. Coffee was disappointing, we were seated and the coffee was served as a takeaway order, just tasted like milk and nothing else (mocha) and the hot breakfast arrived cold. I wish I could say something was nice but that’s not the case. Such a shame because the place looked nice.

Coffee is the best. Had lunch here. Philly Cheese Steak & Angus Burger was delicious. Both meals came with chips & salad.Staff & Service is awesome. Great atmosphere & views. Definitely be back for breakfast. Highly recommend for a great relaxed dining experience!

We had our daughters birthday party at Cafe Kalina and from the very start we had excellent communication with the owners. They were so accommodating with catering our event. Great service on the day and all of the party goers were happy with the food, drinks and attentiveness to our table. Thank you for a great experience.

Great food and service. The view on the deck with a nice cool breeze is awesome on a sunny day. Nice clean toilet. There's a park right next door with playground for kids and walking paths to take a walk that is well shaded. I used it to take a walk with my elderly parents who are diabetic. Getting abit of exercise after a nice meal helps control your blood sugar levels.

Friendly Cafe tucked into the estates of Springfield. Food and drinks came out quickly despite how well attended the Cafe was. Sunday 9am and most tables were occupied. Dog friendly. Nearby playground for kids. Plenty of parking across the road. Large deck area for seating with good views. Hubby said coffee was a little too bitter/burnt. My peppermint tea and eggs benedict were very tasty.

I normally don’t write google reviews, however visited this venue based on existing reviews and was beyond disappointed and don’t want others to waste their time and money coming to this place. I would rate it zero but there is no option. I counted 7 staff on duty and the venue was not full. We waited over 40 minutes for coffees. The coffee was not drinkable. We ended up throwing them out and buying some from Merlos Springfield on our way home. Our food came out before the coffee and our hot breakfasts arrived cold, when you’re paying $20-$25 for a breakfast the standard provided is well below expectations. The staff were too busy talking to each other and eating while working and didn’t seem to care about the service they were providing.
