St Vincent's Aged Care Carseldine

Was a bit shocked and angry to learn that when my 84-year-old mate Jan said that she needed to stop off on the way home to pick up her blood pressure medication and I wouldn’t be diverting in anyway, that they be charging over an extra leg of the journey!Mum doesn’t like to complain but she said she also felt really uncomfortable when the man driving a car didn’t say a word to her except for when he notified her (mid travel) if he had to stop on the way home, that she would be charged an extra leg. (as her medication was already prepared the stop would have taken no longer than five minutes!)It took awhile to find this out from mum but her expenses for travel by Saint Vincent‘s aged care was significantly higher than her previous service.I’ve worked in aged care my whole working life and can’t believe that they would leave my 74-year-old mother shocked, bewildered and anxious as to what to do without causing too much of a fuss!!)Needless to say we sort the assistance of another service.

I have a few lovely old dears that I help with technology. It is so sad to see these people with not a lot to do and I always expect to be there longer than I expect and they love having a chat. I usually have a coffee and biscuit which makes the residents relax and able to understand what I am trying to teach

Disgracefuĺ, appauling standard of care" for my elderly mother. Medication given 12 hours late or not at all. My 88 year old Mum who has severe chronic pain rang me in agony & distraugt after as she had NOT received ANY of her pain medication in the 24 hrs she had been there. Incompetant nursing managers

Attended afternoon function for retired priests. Lovely settings for aged care.. Very friendly staff and volunteers

Very caring facility. Dad has been there for a month since leaving Aspley Aged Care and already noticed a huge improvement. We are excited about seeing dad and hearing about his day.

My grandfather passed away this Friday just gone. When we contacted the priest at this care facility father Chris Hanlon his exact words were It is my day off I'm not coming besides he is already dead so what is the point" My grandmother who is still a resident there has also not been contacted to seen by anyone from pastoral care even though we have called several times and the management is well aware he passed and was a devout catholic. So much for Christian care and compassion"

St Vincent’s Respite Care. The home is very clean and the staff are polite, caring and very accommodating. I would have no hesitation recommending.
