Heatherbrae's Pies
Fantastic pies and well worth the stop. We had the curry chicken pie, Shepard's pie and garden quiche. All were great and tasted fresh. The pies had a good amount of chicken and lamb and well seasoned while the quiche was nice and fluffy. The chips were crinkled cut style, cooked fresh with a liberal amount of chicken salt (went back for a second serve). To top it off, the coffee was well made from quality beans and the customer service to match! Great experience all round!

I'm not a big fan of pies—sorry, Australia—but pies and pizza with BBQ sauce is just a big no for me. I prefer to stick with bread and water. However, these pies are freaking delicious, and they have a big menu to choose from. The quality of the food is fantastic, and the prices are absolutely perfect. You can eat three of these pies and not hurt your pocket. Additionally, the service is great.The atmosphere feels like an old bakery, which is a unique and comfortable setting. I believe this place is an icon of Australian food.

What a welcome, fresh face to this south-bound popular highway rest/service centre. Their pies and pastries are incredible, and the facilities are spotlessly clean....The service is excellent. This is a great alternative to the golden arches next door!

Opens late which is great, nice spacious eatery. BBQ and tomato sauces are free. Decent large hot chocolate.I wasn't too impressed by my bushman's pie though. Steak was kinda dry. Blueberry/apple pie was rather disappointing as well. Friend's Mexican beef and beans pie was alright if you like jalapeno, which he enjoyed.I actually visited/went out of my way to try what was supposed to be their ABPC 2023 Gold pie, the Baked Vegetable. But I couldn't find it on signs and when I asked about it, counter staff looked confused. ._. Oh well..Edit: thank you for the response, that's understandable!

Stopped by the place while heading towards Canberra from Sydney. Didn't taste their pie since not a great fan of pies. But had their coffee. It was okayish. The eatery seems to be a pretty famous place.

Heatherbrae's Pies
We stopped at Heatherbrae's Pies while driving from Sydney to Melbourne. We tried their custard tart and cream filled donuts. Delicious!! The custard tart was cold and light, which was exactly what we needed on a summer day. The cream filled donut was very fresh and had crispy bits that tasted delicious!! Definitely recommend trying both!

This was an accidental stop on our way .Didn’t expect but the pies were hot and fresh. We had the curry chicken and the pie had a great amount of chicken filling which left us happy full.They also have the sweet varieties of piesNice cozy interiors. Ample parking outside.Definitely will come back for the curry pie again
