I am incredibly grateful to have had Meme support me in her role as doula during my VBAC attempt at GCUH Birth Centre in January 2020. Having a doula was something I was honestly not sure about initially, concerned that her role may somewhat tread over that of my husband’s. But after meeting Meme, feeling her warmth, beautiful energy, and passion for her work, I knew that I wanted her to support both me AND my husband. VBACs come with their own special circumstances to navigate, and Meme advocated for me and my decision-making process every step of the way. Meme recognised when I needed her and when to step back. My VBAC attempt ended in a repeat caesarian, however I will always be so grateful for Meme’s calming presence, words of encouragement and her ability to help ground me as events unfolded during my labour. It was challenging to accept that my birth did not end how I had wished, however Meme’s genuine care and support postpartum was, again, something I am incredibly grateful for. She even baked me a postpartum meal! May I add that Meme was only 2 months postpartum herself when she attended my birth! And still - she gave me all of her love, energy and focus so that I was truly held throughout my journey. I highly recommend Meme! If I decide to have a third baby, I will be booking Meme in as soon as I find out I’m pregnant!

The sessions with Meme were fantastic at helping me prepare for the birth of my second daughter. Although I had birthed before, I was carrying a lot of built up anxiety around giving birth again and Meme helped me to address these fears and prepare for a positive and empowering birth. I’d highly recommend her to all expectant mothers. Thank you Meme! X

From the moment my partner Josh and I met Meme we knew she was going to be our Hypnobirthing Teacher. She is very kind and patient (Thank you for answering all our birthing questions). I met Meme a couple of weeks after my second birth. From the moment she walked in the door I felt safe, warm and nurtured while openly discussing every little thing about birth, Bub and myself. She helped me break through a few crucial barriers and left me feeling nourished and energises after only 1 visit. She is the perfect kind of energy you want around at your birth. I only wish I had met her sooner.

Meme was my doula when I was pregnant with my daughter. She has a high level of knowledge and professionalism. She helped keep me calm when I was worried and answered all my questions. She went above and beyond as a doula and constantly helped us out. Furthermore she took some gorgeous photos of our family which we will treasure forever. She a lovely person and an amazing double. Meme is such a beautiful person inside and out! It made being photographed by her feel so natural and at ease, something I will treasure for a very long time. The photos we received just leave me constantly in awe when I look at them. I am so so grateful that I had Meme’s support at my dream birth a few months ago. Honestly, I was unsure whether I’d need to have a doula as it was my second birth, a home birth. Last minute (at 36 weeks) I decided to meet Meme and explore the option of having a doula as my partner could have potentially been working a few hours away and I wanted the peace of mind to have extra support. I felt an instant connection with Meme and decided to have Meme with us on our special day, even though my partner was there it was great having Meme’s support. And meant my partner could tend to our 2 yr old daughter whenever he needed. Meme held space for me the entire time, providing her wonderful support as a doula and also capturing the most beautiful photographs and videos throughout the day. She juggled the two roles seamlessly. My labour was relaxing, pain free and calm. It was the best experience I’ve ever had. I felt so safe with my birth team. As a birth lover myself I had always wanted to get my birth photographed but it was something my husband didn't feel comfortable doing. When giving birth for my first son six years ago we got no professional photos of the birth. Four and a half years later when pregnant with my second son I knew I definitely going to get the birth photographed.Meme was fabulous. She met with me and my partner to get to know us and made my husband feel comfortable with the idea of having her in our birthing space. At the birth she worked seamlessly together with our midwife and my husband and moved in space so quietly I didn't even realise she was there. As a birth doula and now as a mother herself she understands the physiology of birth and knows what natural birth looks and sounds like. I felt safe and was able to fully cocoon into my own body and didn't feel intimidated by Meme at all.Meme also stayed back after the birth and got beautiful photos of us and the new baby and only left when we felt like we were ready. Her photos are amazing and well worth the investment. I'm so glad we ended up getting this birth photographed and that I will forever have these beautiful memories to look back to. I can highly recommend hiring Meme as a birth photographer and doula. Being able to go back to the moment when you were at your rawest yet most powerful is a gift you'll value for the rest of your life.

I was several months pregnant when I felt myself becoming a little bit anxious about the arrival of my first child. A close friend of mine suggested I participate in a hypnobirthing course as it helped her greatly. I googled hypnobirthing coursers near me and was lucky enough to find one close by; I booked in to attend an information session that very same day. When I arrived at the information session I was greeted by the calming and welcoming energy of Meme. I felt very at ease after having spoken with her and knew that she would be able to advise both myself and my husband and calm any worries we had. Without hesitation, I signed up to attend Meme’s 5 week course. The course itself was wonderful! It was full of incredible and useful information, not just for me but also for my husband. We learnt not only about the physical changes happening within my body, we also learnt some fantastic calming techniques and strategies that later came in hand during my labour. If it wasn’t for Meme, I truly believe we wouldn’t have been as level headed during the birth of our daughter; a very quick and strong 3hr physiological labour. It was made all the more comfortable by the knowledge we had from attending the hypnobirthing classes as we felt in control and were able to trust my body and my baby. We understood what was happening, we knew our rights and options and best of all, I knew I had a voice. Meme’s knowledge and personal and gentle approach to teaching are other aspects we found to be so beneficial; and it didn’t stop there. We also met other expecting parents who we connected with and still talk to. We have created a small community where we all share stories, tips and tricks, and check in with one an other to see how we are going or if anyone may need help. If you are thinking about attending a hypnobirthing course, or perhaps looking at hiring Meme as your doula, I cannot express my encouragement greater. Book in! You will be all the better for it.
