Lake Anderson Caravan Park

We stayed for 3 nights at Lake Anderson caravan park at Chiltern. The park is a short walk into town, and is an area with lots of historic buildings and interest. The park is very clean & well maintained, with beautiful old trees for shade, and a lake. We stayed in a pod which was perfect for our visit and a great base to travel to nearby towns and wineries. The pods are small but very comfortable, the bed perfect, had the best sleep. Owners Ty & Esther are super friendly and couldn’t do more to make our stay enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back to do some more exploring.

We stayed at Lake Anderson Caravan Park a few weeks ago at the last minute and we'll definitely be back again.There were four families, some (very) local and some from another state. We were all super impressed. We had powered sites and one family had one the cute pods.The park is really spacious and we were greeted with a warm and friendly welcome on arrival.There's room for the kids to kick the footy out the back and big beautiful trees for shady camping.The facilities are absolutely SPOTLESS, in fact even better than a brand new park we have previously stayed in.Loads of small thoughtful touches like music & hairdryers in the amenities block, and 'happy hour' on two of the days we were there. The camp kitchen also is really well equipped (with the extra things you may have forgotten)Only a super short walk to town. The public pool is next door (which made the kids happy) A couple even tried their hand at fishing in the lake.Without a doubt we will stay here again.

We booked over the phone and arrived outside their business hours on a Saturday evening. They were very friendly over the phone and apologetic for not being around to welcome us in person. We were happy that they had us anyways.It’s not the most modern caravan park you’ll find but definitely one of the best maintained ones. Everything is very tidy and clean. Given that we used the facilities at the end of the day and they were spotless was a pleasant surprise. You can tell that the owners put a lot of effort in maintaining this rather small caravan park.Premises are well maintained, too. We visited for a one night stop over on our way back to Melbourne, not sure if there’s much around to do and see. There is a lake nearby and a tavern that serves great bar food.The camp kitchen is equipped with two BBQs, toasters and a microwave. I missed a gas stove to make some coffee with our Italian moka pot, maybe I was just blind.Would recommend!

The most pleasant little caravan park hidden away in Chiltern. Pretty scenery & friendly management was A1! Bathrooms dated but clean. Not for little kids - no jumping pillows or playgrounds, but our teenagers were more than happy with the proximity to town and lake. We will definitely be back.

Both Ty and Esther are both wonderful hosts / managers. The park is well maintained. Toilet / shower block is clean. We enjoyed the meet ups / chats around the fire. Highly recommend a stay at this park.

Awesome little spot tucked off the Hume! I'm so glad we stopped here otherwise we would have missed it. It was a last minute call up to book, and the owners were extremely accommodating and snuck us in even though they were full. Camp sites are well set apart, not noisy at all, and the amenities were clean and functional. In general its a very peaceful location to setup camp. Its a shame we only had a quick overnight stop..... but we will definitely come back on our next trip.

Great area for camping and overlooking lake anderson! Staff are friendly! Dog wash on-site we use regularly.
