Thanks to Lisa and Declan, they’re helpful, really care and love animals. We adopted Sawyer last Friday, were advised that he had cat flu, bone injuries and some diet issue. Surprisingly he adapted our home very quickly just after the first night, hasn’t had any issue so far. Now he gets a comfy bed and a play castle but seems like he loves my office chair more lol. He is very needing, quiet and loves being cuddled, we’re so happy of having him, thank you team.

People are going on about the pet insurance being worthless. I have some news for you all. My cats been adopted twice and has had a rough life. He get sick all the time. He is on a basic policy due to his age his getting old. His insurance covers 60% of certain conditions. He’s had claims many times. And more than had his worth of insurance. It only fair to pay a certain amount out of pocket. Between this and emergency funds his always covered for medicals. He gets more out of his insurance than I could get for the same cover for hospital insurance.

My family adopted a 8 months cat here a few weeks ago and the service was fantastic. We came here a few days prior to adoption and it was past open hours and they still allowed us to see the cats which was incredibly nice of them. The adoption process was very smooth and easy, I cannot thank the staff who were more than happy to give us tips and tricks as a first time pet owner Our cat was originally very timid and shy, and now she is a ball of energy. We are beyond happy with our new addition. I would definitely come back to adopt another cat.

Id place a 0 star if I could. It specifically says in the policy, “We will provide no-judgement advice on the best choice for you and your pet. We are here to help.”This is exactly what I didn’t get at the shelter.Id previously adopted a beautiful , sweet adult cat from this shelter. Keep in mind surrendering is a hard task as is regardless of your time with an animal it doesn’t make it any more easy. Id spoken with a vet nurse, reached out for public advice and changed many habits in the cats life to try and overcome the challenge we were faced with after adopting this cat. I did only have the cat for a short time. And This is nothing on the cat there is no way anyone is able to tell how a animal is previously treated or is living, and it’s likely certain behaviours can arise and I’m aware of this. the RSPCA can’t know how a cat is going to be in a new environment. But when your reaching out for advice and the same information is repeated to you as you have told themThe steps you’ve taken. and you are treated with a cold disgust attitude for wanting what’s best for the cat to feel comfortable. Is not very much following the policy, Id also left a message to make a complaint with not one calling me back so it’s resorted to this.If you are surrendering an animal and you’re reading this just know I understand it’s not an easy task and I hope you are greeted with the up most respect and assistance possible. People’s situations aren’t always easy and you need to do what’s best for the pet and yourself. I get the RSPCA is a busy place and they do have their limits. But a bit of compassion in hard situations is all a person working in this department needs, maybe take a step out of your shoes and review people’s current situations regardless if there is space or not I’m sure a lot of people surrender for genuine reasons and it is a last resort.I’m appalled at the experience I had, when it was an adoption i was looked after with care and commitment. And the moment something is a issue and I have a vet’s opinion that the cat isn’t comfortable in my home I’m treated poorly for that, not to mention the $150 fee they wanted to charge after returning in a month. Poor service and poor staff selection.Bear in mind I’ve adopted from the Illawarra shelter and have spoken with them, who understood my situation with absolutely no judgment and agreed they want the cat to be supported in a environment where she isn’t scared and is thriving.I trust this review may help give some insight as well as, some staff reviews.

I came here 6 years ago to adopt a kitten and back again vaccination for my new kitten. I’m so amazed how the place has changed so much, bigger, nicer looking buildings just like a hotel for the cats to stay with lots of toys. However, the animals still need lots support and a sweet home, I wish I can take all of them home.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience adopting an adult cat last week. After our beloved first cat passed, we were looking for a cat with similar temperament : affectionate and gentle. We had mentioned this to the staff, and our new cat is exactly what we needed. Couldn't be happier. The facilities are well-maintained, and the staff are passionate about what they do. The staff were also very helpful and forthcoming in answering any questions we had regarding each cat's condition and needs. The whole process was smooth and streamlined. The process, including viewing different cats and meeting them, took about an hour. Please consider adopting and supporting this lovely organisation. ❤️

ADOPT, DON'T SHOP! I wish more people would choose pet adoption over pet store purchases. You could see the desperation in those innocent eyes as they yearned for a home that would be theirs forever.

Very open and welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and the animals are well cared for. I left happily with a new bunny companion, and was overall very satisfied with my experience. Good job everyone, and thank you!
