Southern Cross Motel
Owner was very friendly. Room was clean and everything worked just fine. Also came with free wi-fi which was appreciated.A good value country motel. Just what I hoped for.

Owner was lovely, had a great chat with her after a 8 hour day driving alone. Rooms old but clean. The room service was top notch, and the rack of lamb with vegies was 5 star delish. Highly recommend this place

Absolutely amazing place to stay, we are currently staying here as we are working down the road and the staff are always helpful and amazing to talk to the food is amazing, rooms are very spacious and always clean it's an absolute gem

An average country motel.Positive:Clean room with fresh linen.A few streets back from the main road so limited traffic noise.Friendly staff.Plenty of parking.Negative:A few minor maintenance issues but nothing major (in my room, I can't speak for them all).Door not properly weather sealed so it had a draft (again in my room, I can't speak for them all).Restaurant was closed the night I stayed so I didn't get to try it. I stayed one night while on a road trip. Would stay again.

Had a delicious room service dinner which suited two very weary travellers. A quiet setting which allowed us a great night's sleep. Best shower so far.

Whilst the building is dated, some modernisation is being undetaken in the rooms, place is clean and away from the highway.

No staff, so restaurant was closed. Towel rails in bathroom were broken. Urine on bathroom floor at toilet. Only one mug in room, no plates, cutlery. No wash clothes. Had hand soap, no other complimentary items. Some rubbish on floor, so not cleaned. WiFi didn't work. Far below par for the $155 + nearly $4 surcharge.
