Anaconda Townsville

I've had to shop at this store several times out of necessity. There's never any employees to assist you on the floor. The clothing section is always a mess and never organised into sections. Mens, womens kids, summer, winter clothing mixed together making it difficult to find what you need. Missing stock provided in other Anaconda stores. Unhelpful return policies.Otherwise would be a good one stop shop for trekking and camping gear.

Andrew in the boating and fishing department is an absolute godsend and whole heartedly the reason we keep coming back. A wealth of knowledge and experience. Anaconda Townsville is lucky to have him

My husband and I came in for a new fishing rod and reel. He found what he wanted quickly but needed a staff member to come and open the cabinet to get the reel. We pushed the call button three times over the next ten minutes until someone answered and staff member shoes up. Thankfully he was cheerful and helpful, winding the line on to the reel for free. Made us forget the annoyingly long wait for service.

Fishing expert Andrew provided me with the best customer service and information sharing experince. I left the store two hours later full of new knowledge and excitement, can't wait to try some of his suggestions.(MJ)

Mind set to buy new shoes and kayaks...zero customer service. Shoes all mixed up and impossible to find sizes. Ended up leaving without shoes or kayaks. Lots of other places to shop.

I went into Anaconda a few days ago and was appalled at the service. I waited for someone to come and help me with what I wanted, but I had to find someone to help me instead. I saw a young staff member and asked her if she knew about hiking shoes and back packs. She said she didn't, but she would find someone who did (She didn't even bother). I then waited for almost ten minutes before I headed towards her again, and it was then I saw an older staff member on the other side of the shop, and so I walked up to her. She was with another younger staff member, and I asked her if she could help me with what I wanted. She said she didn't know either and stared at me blankly. I asked her if I can get any help from anyone, in which she just shrugged her shoulders. She just didn't care. I was so frustrated, I just walked out.If Anaconda is going to employ people, then they need to train them up to understand the equipment in the shop. It was so obvious to see they just had No idea about anything. There is just No excuse for this ridiculously poor service. Just to add, the shop looked quite messy and disarrayed. It was a Sunday and not busy at all. I will never go back there again.

Visited this store on Sunday and had the best experience!! Wonderful staff, very knowledgeable and just a treat to deal with!! Well done Isabella and the rest of the team!!

A fabulous outdoor living/adventure store where you actually get personalosed customer service. They never let me down here. A+ all the way!

I visited anaconda Townsville today, I have previously purchased alot of supplies and equipment from there in the past, however I felt very intimidated today walking through the gates which open and close behind you.I sort of had that feeling like I was a herd of cattle. And you have to be in close contact with other people at the registers to get out. I was in the process of shopping for my 4 week camp. The staff are very helpful until I seen the register line so therefore I did not purchase anything as I felt like cattle walking in and out of a stock crate. However I have to say your staff are very polite and nice as I have purchased alot from there previously. I think I will not be going back as I felt very uncomfortable.I was unable to post feedback on the Anaconda website as the form needed my club number to submit it which I could not remember at the time.

Good store layout, plenty of stock and the fishing area staff were teaching some neophytes how to tie knots correctly. Very helpful.
