These are THE BEST PIES!Don’t get distracted by the signage of the place next door (we nearly did); Red Rocket Diner has the Famous Pies & I tasted why.That pastry is crispy & flakey. The centre has chunky chuck steak & is super flavourful.I’m on a Pie Tour of the East Coast since returning home to Oz and so far these famous pies are the winner. Hands down. Get one.

The pies here are outrageously good. Got a Smokehouse beef with mushy peas for $8 and it was one of the best pies I've ever eaten, and I come from the north of England!People very kind too and enjoyed a coffee and a pepsi spider while we were here. Learning about the story of the town pies being handed out during the war on the placard outside was really interesting too!You'll spot it on the road, just look out for the polar bear :)

A very cool diner with freshly made home cooked food! The coffee was excellent and I am very fussy! We had the fritters and they were very yummy! Plenty of tables to chill out and you can even get a sticker if you are extra nice! So what are you waiting for stop in today!

Great little setting beside the Highway, so it's very convenient for travellers. The coffee and food were great. Next time through, I'll try the hotdogs.
