The staff and facilities are wonderful. I am so grateful that a place like this is there when you need it the most. The nurses are caring and understanding and always there when you need them. Even the cleaning and kitchen staff always go out of their way to make you comfortable. Dr Bisht, you are a Godsend. Thank you to everyone

I only come back here because Dr Bisht is so amazing, but the receptionists make booking appointments and collecting prescriptions literal hell. They are unprofessional, unpleasant and condescending in every interaction I have had. For the first contact of mental health support the reception should definitely be more aware of the weight of their interaction w the clients and how they should be a support in getting care not a barrier.

I am extremely grateful for being referred to you by Campbelltown hospital. Dr Nepal properly diagnosed and treated me. I came in with post natal depression (on top of my PTSD and existing depression). I was given 12 rounds of ECT and the difference is night and day!!!! Thank you so so so much Dr Nepal and the amazing team at Ramsay MacArthur. I've managed to get my life back and I've also made life long friends here. I love you all!

I seen Dr Bisht once. Expensive as, but I felt so rushed in the consult. And then I msged him to call me due to a concern. Two days after that message he said he will call me the next day. Been 3 weeks and no call still. I shouldn't have to chase you. I mean for $600 for me being in the room for 15mins u could at least call me. Unfortunately unrealiable. U can't do that to your patients who have mental health issues.2nd. DBT.The dbt staff are wonderful people. But to be very honest, u don't learn anything.I felt it was always talking.9am and we go around asking ppl if they did a diary card, and tell us about there week. That goes to 12pmThen it's lunchThen yogaThen we have 1hr to talk about some actual dbt and homework to do.Twice we were told we would do role play and due to time running out we didn't do them.I feel morning 9am to 12 shld be nothing but dbt and working on skills.Yoga for those who want to do it.Then after noon talk about homeworkThen go around doing dairy cards. And keeping it shortI learnt nothing at all.Other dbt group I went to which I'm going back to was fantastic, but it's farThey teach dbt and explain each thingsShow u how to implement it, go into depth about it. They don't spend time talking about Ur week. They do a 5min each run down on each person.In 1 week I learnt so much skills.Staff are nice, place is well kept and cleaned. Food is okay, kitchen needs to get better fish and not run out fries.

I Cannot recommend Northside Macarthur enough after having several admissions. ALL staff, from the extremely knowledgeable and experienced Psychiatrists and Psychologists, to the amazing nursing staff who show in their actions that they genuinely care, want to help and assist in your recovery and that nothing is too much trouble and are always approachable. From the moment you are in contact with the Northside Macarthur clinic (which can be a daunting process in regards to any mental health clinical admission) the Easy Access/Admissions team provide you with all information needed and an environment that assists in making you feel safe, secure and welcomed from the moment you walk in the door (as do the receptionists and administration staff who always have a welcoming smile on their face and also assist where they can). Nothing is too much hassle for any of the staff - even the house keeping and kitchen staff are always polite and will help in any way they can.On top of all of this, both the NUM and Director of Clinical Services make themselves available for all patients if for any reason you need to discuss anything with them which I have not found in other mental health facilities.I cannot praise Northside Macarthur Clinic enough and would not consider going elsewhere if I needed further mental health support and assistance

The single worst experience I’ve had anywhere. I made an appointment for March, the doctor called out sick and my appointment was rebooked. This then happened three more times and they say they can’t get me in till September. Absolutely no help and an incredible lack for communication for staff as well.

I’ve sent a referral form 3 months ago for my partner, and we’ve been told the wait time is 8-10 weeks for the appointment and that we’ll get a call once the appointment is set. (I left both of our contact numbers to make sure they can contact us).In these 3 months, I’ve called at least 10 times to follow up (every week or 2) as nobody called back, just to be told every time that the referral is with the doctor and the lady at the reception says always she’ll “personally follow up”. I’ve called last week AGAIN after 3 months, and every time I’m told exact same thing, and I already tell them how the conversation is going to end, but they always act surprised.This is getting way too ridiculous, because now my partner is in trouble as he needs his medication, just because they can’t even call back, or at least say we cannot get the appointment to call somewhere else, which is now too late.Don’t understand how someone working in mental health clinic cannot understand what situation they put people in by being so unprofessional and forgetting to do their job while someone’s health depends on it. Completely disappointing.

My wife booked an urgent appointment 4 weeks ago and was told the only appointment available was for next Tuesday, which she booked.Today we received an SMS to tell us that the doctor had decided to take next Tuesday off(to extend his long weekend presumably) and the next available appointment was in another 5 weeks.My wife was desperate for this appointment. No apology was offered. This is not the way to treat prospective or current patients. If this is the care they give, then we are better off looking elsewhere, which we have done.Would have given zero stars if that were an option.

Shocking service for $20 THOUSAND dollars. Wrong medication protocols, they forget about giving you an orientation, accidentally miss pills and double dose others and would not allow me to lodge a formal complaint for 8 days. Would highly not recommend there’s no prompts for meds or meals they don’t check your bags so they were people here on ice and it took 8 days for them to still not chart my correct medications. Would not go back and not worth going even if it was free.

Northside Group Macarthur Clinic (NGMC) has been one of the most beneficial supports that I have received. Since I first stepped foot in the clinic 4 years ago, I have seen the tremendous changes in NGMC; from renovations to the building that added extra beds, to welcoming new staff, to dealing with a worldwide pandemic and thriving.NGMC has allowed for me to extend my therapeutic relationships and supports and for that, I am grateful. The staff are always welcoming and happy to see you. The chefs cook amazing meals to which it relieves the stress of needing to cook for yourself. The allied health professionals have not only your mental health but overall health and life interests at heart and show this throughout your stay. The nurses who see and work with you day to day show empathy, kindness and support and they truly mean it. The housekeeping work efficiently to ensure that your stay at the clinic is clean, fresh and welcoming. And the therapeutic groups (art, gym, yoga, pet therapy) are often the highlights of the day.The outpatient groups, especially Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) has changed my life for the better and I will never be able to thank NGMC enough for the help and hope they have given to me.Emily Walz.
