Very helpful and friendly veterinary practice but I was sent an invoice for $50 for a phone call from the vet without being advised in advance that I would be charged anything.

My first months in Hobart I found David and his team showed such respect for me and my little Chihuahua Mai we had no wish to go anywhere else... 5.5 years since of honest, reliable and friendly treatment and with another puppy, I say thank you very very much as we return to the mainland. Dr Boersma and his team were fantastic when I phoned them for help (as a totally new client) after my regular vet practice was unable to accommodate my pet emergency. Dr Boersma advised me on the phone & made an appointment to see my pup for surgery the same day. He is a very caring vet, thoroughly professional and I appreciated the service from him and his staff. Needless to say, we'll be going back to SBHV.

An excellent vet practice. David has a wonderfully calm and gentle way with animals, especially with my timid and anxious cat, and applies a thorough, impressive blend of modern and holistic veterinary medicine. I have always found his judgement regarding tests and recommended treatments to be sound, well considered and in the best interests of my pet. All the staff are extremely friendly, kind, patient, compassionate and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this practice.

Sandy Bay Holistic Veterinary Centre
We've been taking our dogs (our furry kids) to David for over 10 years. We like the continuity and David has always been really good with them. We actually choose to travel 50 kilometres to see David rather than take them to a vet 15 kilometres away. The vet nurses are very good too.
