Highlands Hotel
Stayed here one night with my partner as we were attending a wedding in the local area. The staff are spectacularly flexible and accommodating. Words cannot even do them justice. The manager did not even hesitate at our request for an early checkin; no extra charge. Furthermore upon checkout I realised we’d left some cakes in our room fridge. It was a Sunday so the hotel was unstaffed. I emailed the manager not expecting they could do anything about it, but he went out of his way to get us access back into the room to retrieve our cakes. I was infinitely grateful. It was the definition of above and beyond. True hospitality. I absolutely recommend this hotel enough. Thank you for a truly positive stay.

Highlands Hotel
Great atmosphere with a cosy and classy dining room and open fire. The lamb shank was fantastic, the BBQ ribs so tasty and tender and good size servings. Great value too. The proud owners have done a superb job decorating this beautiful old pub.

Great place for a meal, a few drinks, and to relax in front of the fire. We had a extended family meal there, excellent food and service.

Stopped here for a Sunday lunch. I had the ribs and my wife had the steak . Price was good and the food was great . I would call in again ,also it looked like they had good daily specials.

Fabulous pub, food and atmosphere. The staff were very attentive and i asked where they got their wood bartop from. As I was not a local the saff member then spent the next 10 mins while we were waiting for our food finding out who was the local carpenter who did tjeir bar. Unbelievably she actually got the details and then sought to find me to pass the details on.Unbelievably great service

I need fridge to keep some fresh food, there isn’t. There is only a little tiny bar fridge in the laundry room.I need to sleep very early and get up early next morning because I will drive 9 hours next day, but the live music lasted until 22.30. It shocked me and made me awake.I locked myself out and left my phone in the room but nobody can help until 10.45. I have been waiting for 4 hours since 7 am when I wanted to leave. Then I need to drive for 9 hours.

Stopped by for dinner Sat night, good food, friendly service and even a little toy box in the dining room to entertain little ones. Recommend booking
