4.5 stars to be honest. Had ordered Paneer Tikka Masala, Garlic Naan and Lassi. The menu does not have many paneer options in it. The sauces would be the same with the meat options or the paneer options, so it wouldn't hurt to keep it there, even if paneer isn't very popular in Mudgee. The food was extremely tasty. I've had Indian food in over 50 restaurants in Australia and this definitely was in the top 3. The only criticism I could think of was maybe it was very slightly oily but still excellent and easily a 9.8/10.Service needs a lot of improvement. The receptionist lacks awareness, this may be due to the fact they use old school written out bills, but her face was more on the books than on the guests. Regular checks need to be made with a glance around the room. Reception had no smile or energy to offer upon entry. I had to initiate the conversation. Which is a big issue to be solved. I noticed the chef and cooks themselves were very attentive. A nice gesture I noticed by one of the cooks was to return one of their customer's glasses by running outside.The atmosphere was okay. One big improvement I would like to see is with how the menu looked. Plain text written on Microsoft Word just doesn't look great. Some work with a designer and a printing place and you could have a great looking visually appealing menu. There were chandeliers which could be lit up through pointed lights because I only noticed them when I was exiting the place. The serving plates and bowls could get an upgrade, as well as the utensils. They weren't bad or impractical, but weren't up to the standard of other restaurants. The furniture also seemed a bit old and could get an upgrade.Overall, the food was honestly worth coming for every time I come to Mudgee. I would just like to see better service with more engagement with the customers. Maybe some improvements in the atmosphere. Hope this business does well because I'd love to have a branch in Sydney with these recipes.

The curries (tikka masala & a vindaloo) with rice & naan bread were beautiful. The papadams unfortunately had a long black hair in them.

Food was good but seemed a bit sloppy (I'm not an expert in Indian food) and service was mostly okay, although staff on front desk were not very knowledgeable or able to offer recommendations. Plates were chipped. There's not really any ambience or atmosphere when dining in.

Good place staff is friendly but they should provide diners with information about their orders and give suggestions.We ordered hot options but they didn't told us how hot it will be, thus sometimes suggestions are good for diners.But food quantity and quality are very good and very reasonably priced.You must visit here if you're visiting Mudgee and like Indian cuisine

Don’t know why their rating is only 3.8 stars - they deserve better. We just had the most delicious goat and malai kofta. Highly recommended!

I rarely review restaurants but I feel compelled to in this case. The tandoori prawns was a bit bland, one of the two chicken curries terrible and the other one(Murgh kolpam) meh. The main issue was the chicken in most dishes had some weird after taste. I think the meat used is sub par.By the way, this was not just my opinion, but 3 of my friends too who grew up having Indian food in India.Sorry about the review, maybe it was just one bad day of cooking for the kitchen, but felt it’s worth sharing my experience.
