Waurn Ponds Library

As it's next to the swimming centre I thought I'd take my lunch in here, bound to be a quiet spot out the way I thought. Oh my god, it was bedlam, children screaming, disabled people shouting, teens playing music and games, what is it with libraries these days? Just call them loony bins and be done with it. There's no way anyone could read an actual book in there.

The library is very modern and children friendly. The computers and consoles they have to use are great, I found that they didn’t have a very big range of books compared to other libraries I’ve been to, but you can definitely find something that relates to what your looking for. If you can’t find what your looking for I find that the library in Geelong is great. Apart from that the library is pretty good.

It's a great little library in the heart of waurn ponds right near waurn ponds shopping centre. Library staff were very friendly and helpful. Will come here again soon to borrow some more books.

I generally like this library, as its modern and has a good layout, although the past couple of times I have come here to study, admittedly they have been in the morning or late afternoon, varying in times. I have noticed how loud this library actually is. It is the constant of children screaming, people talking loudly, children groups happening or people taking loud phone calls. I think this library would benefit from a silent study area, or maybe a stronger enforcement of being quiet in the library. I am all for children coming to the library and going to groups, so in future i'll come during times they aren't on, but still think the library should be more quiet.

Great location and nice ambient inside. The only letdown is the limited range of reading materials. Given such a big building, there are so little books . It is time that library focus on what it is about. Not just limited books but limited of every reading material. Hope they can improve on this. And hope they have a larger range in the upcoming Armstrong Creek Library else it would be disappointing again.

This library has a great selection of books, and a lot of space inside. Self checkout and toilets are available, and there is ample parking at the back of the building. The building is part of a greater community complex, so you can even go for a swim after you've finished with the library.

Very helpful staff and a nice environment to visit.

The library is really good and the staff as well but the only trouble in the library is that it doesn't looks like a library because people are so LOUD and irritating that they don't value the rules of the library.It's very hard to concentrate while reading because of those people .Librarian's please help everyone to maintain a peaceful environment.Thanks

It’s a great library with wonderful service! It’s a great place to encourage your child to do reading! Half an hour a day reading in the library really helps my child develop a habit of reading and a love of reading! I also love spending time there reading, entering into authors’ imagination worlds!
