Mercure Alice Springs Resort

Very tired accomodation. Room service not available despite being advertised. Housekeeping didn’t even bother to make up our beds- pathetic. They just emptied the bin, didn’t touch the bathroom. Turn it up!Went to the cardio room- when the dinosaurs roamed the Earth this equipment was hatched. Both treadmills out of service, absolutely pathetic. The prehistoric rowing machine spewed water from a broken drum. The broken water station and a stopped clock on the wall was the icing on the cake.The rooms are dated and tired. This place is so disappointing.

Very average hotel, it’s fine for just a bed if you’re out and about in the day. The room was fairly big but outdated room and bathroom. Not super clean, little bits of mold in the bathroom and very noisy if the next door room has the shower on. It was nice to have a pool in the hot weather but again not very clean, and no outside toilet so you have to go through the restaurant where people are eating if you need the toilet round the pool. The staff at front desk were nice and helpful though.

Food is not good; old tasting, raw, over cooked.Rooms are in need of remodeling: main door does not close unless you push hard, hi ges in cabinets missing, loose, laud AC, card keys don’t work sometimes, carpets dirty.

Good size room with thin walls, the curtains were old and didn’t close properly, two little windows which lack airflow through out the room. Air-con looked a bit rundown and needs replacing. Wireless Internet keeps cutting out unless your near the lobby which was fine.When checking in/out the reception staff were pleasant and very helpful.

This is a well run resort with excellent service and rooms. A great location close to shops and so many places to explore. The restaurant is impressive and again the service is excellent.

We enjoyed our stay here. There was no room service during the Easter holidays, unless asked, but that didn’t bother us too much. The rooms felt a bit dated and air not too fresh, but overall clean and had hot water.

Apart from the tap in the bathroom dripping, the room wasn't insulated enough and I could hear people talking quietly in the next room, the fridge and airconditioner were noisy so I had to use my earplugs. Nothing special but clean. I felt it was over priced considering all those factors and needs updating.

Centrally located, the Mercure Alice Springs Resort is in an ideal position to access shops and tours. The service is great, the staff are very helpful and the facilities are very exs tensive. Very happy to stay here anytime.

Good spacious rooms (Palm). Neat and clean good service. Internet quality very poor. Some Old bathrooms equipment. Great breakfast!

Average hotel but probably the best hotel within the centre, 5/10 minute walk to the centre.Hotel at first glance seems ok, free parking, secured, pool, biggish rooms. But on closer inspection you can see it's looking a bit tired and in need of renovation/upgrade. Rooms are a bit tired. Shower head was filthy and covered in limescale, had to clean it ourselves to use.Safe in room, fridge, hair dryer and iron plus table. The double layer duvet thing is silly, just use a normal sheet.Pool is very small and freezing cold. Staff are nice and helpful. Breakfast does redeem it a bit and is quite good with a lot of choice and an omelette chef. Seems to be a lot of work going on with areas such as the pool bar closed.There is a small gift shop at reception.As said this is probably the closest to the centre of the proper big hotels, the rest are pretty far out compare to this. Was told not to walk out after 10pm so if you don't have a car your food choices are very limited.In summary, ok to stay but needs a good upgrade (which does seem to be partly in progress). Nothing else this close to city so they have a captive customer base tbh.
