We made a special effort to buy a bike from the iconic Lawrencia Cycles as we both grew up in the area.Upon arriving at the shop to pick up the new bike we were greeted with faint disdain and obvious annoyance by the tall 30- 40 yrs with glasses and ginger hair man(Saturday).Arrogant, patronizing and argumentativeFurther he decided what helmet my partner needed without input from her and proceeded to almost bully her to wrap this process up.by the time we got home the bell had fallen off the bike. We returned on Sunday to get a new bell only to face Mr Annoyed again who proceeded to give us a cheap bell that was fixed to the handle bar by a rubber band (not kidding)... I insisted we get the original bell for the bike which required some almost heated discussion.What could have been a lovely moment of picking up a new bike was very disappointing to say the least.Not good enough

Good service bike running smoothly and gear changes remedied. Very friendly crew.

Thank you to Darius for his honest and patient service. Enabled 3 different test rides to make sure we were 100% sure before making the final selection on which e-bike to purchase. Extra thanks for lending us a helmet to get the bike home safely!

I have taken 2 bikes to Lawrencia Cycles for repairs in recent weeks and I found them to be an excellent Company to deal with. Profession, friendly service and repairs carried out at a very reasonable price. I would certainly recommend them to my family and friends.

In response to my last review where I gave 2 stars, the store called me. They indicated that there may have been a misunderstanding and asked me to come in today or when I had time, for a full fit out. They also found the bike fit measurements that I emailed them. One by one they went through each measurement and adjusted the bike. Seat hight, distance from seat to the handle bars and replaced the head stem as it was too long. They spent over an hour going through the bike fit, that included 2 separate test rides by me to provide feedback. The head stem change was completed immediately in the workshop. They have loaned the head stem for a couple of weeks allowing me time to see if it really suits. If so, I go back and pay.Taking feedback is one thing. Responding to it by fixing it fully is the ultimate outcome from a customer service perspective.I will certainly go back to Lawrencia Cycles now based on this experience.Thank you.....

Found a bike (and accessories) perfect for my needs at a great price. When I noticed a small (seemingly manufacturer caused) paint defect on a bike the day after I bought it, my concerns were taken seriously, and the team members at Lawrencia were reasonable and helpful. Great customer service from Darius in particular.

They may be good with bikes, but disturbing to see they are selling puppies on the side, and more than likely supporting back yard breeding, which is illegal in Victoria. Please stick to bikes, take your puppy sale sign down, and let registered breeders sell dogs!

Went to get a repair that turned out to be a simple fix, with the guys at the shop happy to do it for free. Great service!

“Outstanding” - Yesterday I was hit by a car near Lawrencia Cycles. I limped in with my bike; the friendly and professional staff gave me an on the spot assessment and declined all offers of payment.I have now booked my bike in with them for a comprehensive assessment and to undertake all appropriate repairs.It does not surprise me that this local trader would present such quality old-world service, considering they have served the community of Hawthorn since 1938.Forget the rest - I trust Lawrencia Cycles and so does everyone I know.
