Iron Creek Bay

Friends and I had dinner at Restaurant Orani. I had been looking forward to this for the longest time only to be sadly disappointed. I’m a local and I was hoping for something special to showcase. I cannot write a review for the others but here's mine. I ordered tempura oysters as starter. These came to the table barely warm and it certainly wasn't tempura, cold very soggy batter supposedly sesame and lime dressing, I do believe it was soy sauce $18. For main I ordered wallaby, hummus, pickled red onion and lavish bread. The wallaby was cold, very very dry and so over cooked and tough, practically inedible. A few slivers of onion, a smear of commercial hummus and not lavish bread but pitta that was not warned. Size, I would consider this an entree. Cost $36. The highlight of my evening was the wine. The worst restaurant experience and I really wanted it to be special. Not returning for round 2.

Great place to stay especially for the price, Ended up coming back and spending a second night. On site restaurant is also worth checking out the food was awesome.Price - $160 per nightStaff - Friendly / HelpfulRoom - Clean / Modern ( Only downside you aren’t able to control the aircon temp in the budget rooms but there is a ceiling fan so wasn’t a big deal. )Location - The property is clearly looked after and the views are unrealWorth staying at if you are exploring the Tasman Peninsula.

Beautiful location, however does not make up for the overinflated prices and mediocre food, ordered the wagyu and didn't recieve half the things on the plate that were written on the menu. Completely empty restaurant which I think speaks for its self, DO NOT RECOMMEND! save your money and support locally owned business elsewhere.

The restaurant and cafe have certainly resolved any inconsistency in quality of the food - it is now truly 5-star: delectable flavours and textures! Both savoury and sweet are extraordinary and delicious! An additional wait-person would be helpful and well utilised. The staff - both waiting and kitchen are lovely people! The views are sensational - morning and sunset. If you’re local, it’s a great business to support - but don’t be in a hurry. It’s lovingly prepared, slow food.

The rooms were so clean and the service was exceptional. Views were beautiful, the place was overall very relaxing and calm.Restaurant and cafe on site were amazing. Great food and great service. Highly recommend staying here for a weekend while in Hobart.

We went to the restaurant and the food was truly excellent. The meat perfectly cooked, delicious sauces and even the carrots were amazing. The location itself is beautiful and looks over the winery and out to the water. Highly recommend eating here.

Absolutely loved the food and the service was amazing. They had high chairs, story books and colouring in prints to occupy kids. Every staff member we came across was so kind and friendly! Unlike some reviews I read, we saw Sebastopol Geese, Drakes, Chickens, Ducks, Alpacas, Cows, a Pony and a Horse. My Son loved the animals and the playground was so great. I would definitely recommend visiting! We will definitely be back again :)

I went here with my family to pick cherries. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience.A special spot with plenty of delicious cherries, a playground that has an epic rope course, quality facilities and pleasant surrounds. A refreshing and restful experience.The price of cherries is more than you would buy from the shop but we plan to go again. Spectacular location. Super modern rooms overlooking the bay. This is one of the nicer places we have stayed and the prices are super! 15 minutes from the airport and same price or lower than the hotels in the region (travel$dge). A working orchard, trails to the beach and a wetland with black swans. Nice cafe. Not your typical hotel, much more. Highly recommended.

We stayed for 2 nights and loved it. Very cute and unique room. We had dinner in the restaurant the first night and it was yummy, with a beautiful view. The whole place is gorgeous and well looked after. Location is good too, not too far from Hobart and we went out to Port Arthur and Richmond from there. Definitely would stay again as we loved our time here.
