I was particularly impressed with the way that Sunset Vets handled my cat Alice's passing. They were kind, empathetic and responsive. Alice had to be euthanised on a public holiday and yet it presented no difficulty to Sunset Vets and Dr Kelly, the attending veterinarian. Alice was able to pass at home in an environment with which she was familiar without the stress of car travel to the vets to be euthanised. I would like particularly to record my thanks for Dr Kelly's kindly and patient support for us during Alice's last moments with us.

We had Dr Kelly from the Canberra area, visit us to help our beautiful lady Tilly get across Rainbow Bridge.From the first phone call to when Dr Kelly left, we only saw absolute care, dignity and professionalism.Our baby girl received only the very best care in her time of need.I can absolutely recommend this service and can only humbly thank them for such a peaceful and thoughtful experience.To Dr Kelly, your work must be hard to deal with sometimes but I can honestly say that you have left a wonderful impression and memory for us in what was a traumatic time. We wish to thank you for all you did and we want you to know how important you and your role is to families like ours.

Last Saturday morning my sweet 18year old cat Cheriee, told me it was time to say Goodbye. Her kidneys were failing and the effort to hold on was too much. We had a talk and she agreed to my making a call to Sunset Vet. From my first contact with Shaye who facilitated Dr Kelly to meet Cherie, I couldn't have been more at ease with the empathy, care and professionalism--my decision was the right one, and Cherie's passing was gentle, peaceful and full of love-here in her own home. Dr Ashlee helped my dear Jake" two years ago--with the same compassion and care. I am so very very glad that Sunset Vet has come to Canberra. I applaud you all."

I would highly recommend Sunsets Vets for anyone seeking a peaceful and dignified path to the Great Park in the Sky for their pet. Want your pets last memories to be of familiar faces and familiar surroundings then this is the service for you.Our beautiful canine Red had a Peripheral Nerve Sheath Tumor and his decline was rapid. He lost all muscle tone in his leg and lost the capability of chasing his favorite toy Mr Droney. This rapid decline was expected to continue in the same timeframe in which it presented itself, it was very painful for him, and hence our very difficult choice in contacting Sunset Vets which met our needs.If you the reader are also in need of a great service to assist, we can personally say that from the first phone contact to Sunset Vets we absolutely knew this was the right service for us and by that we mean people who actually want to know pets name and remember it as they speak to you. A great start.We would sincerely like to thank Dr Ashley who operates for Sunset Vets here in the ACT. We knew from the moment Ashley walked in the door that she too was a kind, compassionate, and gentle soul just like our Redmond. We're very fortunate to have this service, to have such loving people to call on in dark times to provide us with a beautiful and peaceful setting to say goodbye. My beautiful dog Winky, was peacefully laid to rest yesterday under the care of Dr. Ashlee. She was just amazing and made the whole ordeal as stress free and as comfortable as possible.
