I have had the pleasure of working with JB for many years and I’m so thankful for the connection we have formed.I’ve continued to reach out and engage his incredible talents across many jobs and industries, and he delivers flawlessly on every brief, every shoot, even every curve ball I have thrown.No matter the photographic challenge, there is no better man for the job. As an art-director client, I have asked John to shoot for me across fashion, retail, housing and construction, sport and even thrown him the challenge of working alongside full scale tvc productions to capture stills as the filming was occurring… twice! The level of trust I have in JB to deliver on a brief has seen him attend international location shoots without me present and I have still been thrilled with the image captures.John has such a passion for what he does, he finds the moments of beauty in whatever he is shooting and has the ability to marry his unique perspective with exactly what the client needs from the images.He’s taught me so much about bringing creative ideas to life but his depth of knowledge across business, people, culture and life in general means I’m richer in many aspects for having spent so much time with him.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with John for over a year and a half now. We’ve developed such a strong and creative relationship through our photo shoots. I highly recommend John Barrett as a photographer. I did an artistic aerial photoshoot with him recently and not only came away with fantastic images, but a newfound respect for the man as a professional. Prior to the shoot, JB took the time to discuss everything from backdrop to lighting to wardrobe to hair and makeup. We then collaboratively worked on each individual shot until it had the effect we were after. Overall it was a really great experience. I did one of John's online photography courses and can't recommend it enough! I also ended up booking an in-person photography workshop on the Gold Coast and being able to spend time with JB and get his insights into photography has been invaluable. Highly recommended! There's no one better out there.

During a 3 week holiday to QLD I took the opportunity to contact John Barrett to see if he conducted any workshops as I would be on and around the Gold Coast.Lucky for me he was able to make an availability that suited my travel plans and I spent many hours during a 1 on 1 workshop learning many aspects of photography from the grass roots of the camera settings, to planning, to composition and to the capture during a practical component that he had a professional dancer come in to put to practice the theory side of the workshop.John's studio is incredible and one that I was envious of and I was able to use his equipment to capture some incredible images under his guidance as seen in this image :-)The vast experience of John as a professional photographer over many decades in the fashion and commercial industry provided me with so much knowledge and advice that will help me on my journey and he helped me improve my overall skills as an amateur photographer.For anyone that would like mentorship from such a man as John I can't recommend high enough. I walked away from this day so happy with John's mentoring that will stay with me, and to be honest, I would do it again :-)As John would say, 'it's those one percenters that can make it great' John I agree and thank-you for every-thing :-)
