Great park, a large area for the dogs to run around with no major roads near by.There are some bbq's here, the single toilet block isn't the greatest, and some of the locals living across the road can be interesting.

The park is currently marred by the presence of a shipping container and temporary fencing which is part of an adjacent building site. It is interesting that the Newcastle City Council would either allow or turn a blind eye to this intrusion. I also noticed that a large wattle tree has been removed from the park, presumably because it would have interferred with the shipping container's positioning. It appears that the council allows some developers to do whatever they want with public space, even though rate payers finance its maintenance.

It's an off leash area, and it does have a drinking fountain for the dogs, but there isn't a bin within the area, and there isn't any fencing whatsoever to keep your dog within the boundaries. Like most off leash areas in Newcastle, this one is pretty poor and the council needs to pull their finger out.
