Very disappointing meals today! As if the chef didn’t care what he sent out! Scarce squid and prawn dish with last week’s lettuce, cold burrito meal! This used to be a great place for a meal! Not any more!

Pretty good casual hotel, handy on the Pacific Highway, with lovely lake views from certain aspects.Unfortunately, cigarette smoke stench has commonly permeated various areas for many years- quite a turn-off.Good beer selection, bar service usually pretty good. Sports TVs ok in some areas but need to have more in others.Bistro & meals usually reliably good, not cheap, but some good value options, usually very good service, nice-looking open kitchen, thankfully main dining areas usually free of cigarette smoke, & offer great lake views.Table online meal & drinks ordering a good idea, but doesn't offer a popular choice in the special of the day. Also the electronic payment surcharge isn't as clear as it should be during menu selection. The recent Wed night $20 Pork special meal was very tasty, the cheesy garlic bread was also tasty but expensive.Well worth some repeat visits.

Bar staff are very friendly and helpful, drinks are fairly priced and a good range.Food was amazing and the wait time was very reasonable for the size of the order and the patrons they had on site, the waitresses though definitely need some customer service training as they weren’t helpful or friendly.The only reason this review didn’t get a higher rating was the room that we stayed in, very smelly and could’ve done with a bit of cleaning (very dusty) and needs an upgrade as its very outdated.Saturday nights they have a DJ on-site which meant no sleep till early hours of the morning as the Rooms aren’t sound proof.

Stayed overnight and dinner at bistro. Polite and helpful staff, clean and comfortable accommodation. Bistro dinning area clean, tidy and well layed out . Good selection of meals on menu at reasonable prices. We were very impressed with the seafood platter for two. Whilst dining we observed various other meals all of which were of generous serving looking very tasty. Thank you for an enjoyable stay Gunyah Hotel.

We met friends for lunch and were pleasantly surprised. Booking our table online was easy and we all enjoyed our food. The eton mess for dessert was huge, plenty for two.

We didn't stay there we had lunch on SaturdayWe had booked for three people for 1.30pm.Granted they were busy and instead of ordering from the counter we ordered from.the QR about 1.40pm however the first meal arrived at 2.50 pmA smoke salmon bruschetta. Two slices of bread over toasted, topping and smoked salmon then the second meal A pasta dish which obviously had been sitting as it had sunk. And finally the third meal. It is now 3.15pm.We enquired why we had been waiting1 hour 40 minutes for our order.The waitress replied we have been busy and there was a 1 to 1 and half hour wait. Looking around the restaurant we were the last patrons there.She had no answer to the next questionWhen were we going to be told this.The last meal was inedible

A nice restaurant with some good options on the menu. Food arrived pretty quickly, and was enjoyable to eat. Staff were a bit hit-or-miss, seemed like an inconvenience that we were there. Parking was challenging.

Excellent food, the grass fed rib-eye was perfect and the seafood share plate was fresh and good value, friendly service and a nice atmosphere.

Arrived for 1pm lunch. Ordered 1.30 said 1hr wait. OK 2.45 ??? Arrived 3.05. Highly recommend NOT having bugs in pastry. Lamb bowl 3/5 Don't mind waiting but when other tables arrive after you and served before you that's annoying especially when 2 children out of 7 were getting restless. Wouldn't rate the service highly either. Won't rush back.
