Modeline Hair

Andee is absolutely fantastic - very knowledgeable and knows her stuff. My only criticism is that they could be more transparent about the pricing - each time i went in i was charged a different amount without explanation. I wish that they would be upfront about that before they start - i would expect that when they suggest that they do this and that to your hair that day, they say the cost will be $X amount. And once i wanted a trim (not a style cut - a straight trim) and was charged $75.00. I got the same trim done elsewhere (nearby) for $20 a few weeks later. That left a bitter taste in my mouth and from then onwards, i didn't go back. But they are very good at their work and i must be fair in my review.

For many years, I have been struggling with hair stylists who are just not passionate with their art anymore. Since discovering Modeline, I can honestly say that my struggle is finally over.Andee and Steve are amazing at what they do. I had Andee for my colour and Steve for my cut and styling. They not only work extremely well as a team; individually, they are thoughtful, careful, and don't whip through their crafts as they utter the dreaded words leave it to me" to their client; an experience I have been all too familiar with in the past. They not only take the time during the initial consultation to understand exactly what you want

Steve and Andee are so warm and welcoming, great with kids and make you feel so at home with them. I followed Steve from two other salons and love the cuts he gives me. He manages to lighten the weight of my super thick hair without making it seem thin or fluffy (issues I've had in the past). He is amazingly fast with my 4 year old and the cut he gave my son at the start of the year is growing out and still looking good even after 7 months of lockdown. HIghly recommend this fantastic team!

5 stars for Steve at Modeline although I don’t think that is enough. It is a 3 hour round trip for me to cross the city to get to Reservoir and back - and it is worth it. I’m not really sure there is anyone fussier than I am when it comes to hair except perhaps for Steve. He is a master cutter, uses all the latest techniques for cut and colour and takes the time to listen and understand what you want so you get a fabulous result every time. It’s definitely worth the drive and the traffic headaches for the fab result. Thanks so much Steve!

I won't let anyone else even touch my hair. Andee and Steven create an elevated salon experience with the most friendly upbeat attitudes. Their creativity is unparalleled. If you are looking for a fun and fresh style, look no further.

I've followed the wonderful Steve from his previous two salons and as always, am absolutely rapped in the results! Seriously clean bleach on scalp (pain & itch free) and awesome pearl toner. The vibrating massage chairs at the wash station are a bonus. Highly recommended.

It wasn’t what I asked for. I appreciated the work and effort, but at the end of the day, the person who does my hair doesn’t need to like it, I do. I also appreciated the offer and work to fix it, but that doesn’t change the fact I cried all the way home both times. The staff were nice and mostly understanding, I just wish that the person who did my hair could understand that the only opinion of how I look that matters, is mine. It’s going to take me four months to grow it back out.I’m sure it is a great salon for most, but it wasn’t the right fit for me.

Loved my first cut with Steve! We had a great chat and he took the time to get to know me and what I was looking for. The glass of Prosecco was a bonus ;)
