Mecca Cosmetica Chadstone

Went in today to buy some eyeliner and foundation with my sister, was ignored my all staff. Then went to go up to the counter to ask for help and instead overheard the two staff at the reception desk laughing and gossiping about my sisters body shape and they had no idea I could hear or that it was my sister. The one in the headscarf thought it was so hilarious she fell down to the floor laughing. I was horrified and left.Utterly disgusted by such disgusting behaviour in this day and age. Do better Mecca I will NEVER return. Also more than happy to come in and point these two out.

Thanks to Sarah! I went in to find the best fragrance for my girlfriend for Christmas and I was so grateful for her help! She was very knowledgeable and social. Gave me all the best tips for what I should buy and what smells good. I can’t applaud her professionalism and service enough!

Loved loved loved my experience with Vicky! Vicky was so sweet and kind in helping me find some new products I wanted to try! She was very patient with me and recommend so many amazing products which I will definitely go and purchase. Another Mecca store I enjoy visiting!! Both the Maxima and Cosmetica; all the staff who work here are very kind, extremely helpful and always here to chat/educate me regarding the products I’m after. My last visit I was lucky to be served by a nice young gentleman (from the Maxima store) who was helping me with the Hourglass Stick blushes and also took his time to show me other long lasting cream based blushes as I have stopped using any base makeup. Another very nice lady (from the cosmetica store with glasses sorry I forgot her name but I also use to see her working at the Fountain Gate and the Melbourne Central store a few years ago) is always full of energy and great enthusiasm; I was also very lucky to be served by her. You could tell all the staff here are very educated in the beauty industry and enjoy their work here!! Again, I would rate this a million stars if I could! And thank you so so much for helping me! Look forward to my next visit here! This will be the next store I’d purchase the MFK fragrance from depending who I get served by!!

I went to Mecca to pick up a Christmas present. I wanted to buy the laneige lip balm for my sister mistakenly thinking it was sold at Mecca as that is where I usually shop. I approached a female team member to ask whether they stocked it. She proceeded to correct how I said it, and then started laughing about my pronunciation. She then beckoned over a fellow team member and they began mocking how I pronounced it. They proceeded to then walk away after I asked whether they had any gift sets.I’ve had mixed experiences at Mecca but nothing so blatantly rude, I work in retail and was shocked.

The products on display look beautiful and easy to navigate through when deciding what brand/colour you want to purchase. But, I find the excessive number of staff members on the floor annoying for such a small space. It can be uncomfortable when choosing to have multiple people question and interrupt you. I much rather ask and wait for help if I need it than feel like I'm being preyed upon!

As a great fan of Mecca (this store) I was very disappointed in the service that I received today. I was made to feel rushed and the person serving was uninterested in serving me. I did not purchase all I intended as I felt that I could not ask her questions.

As soon as I walked in I knew I was going to love my experience here! My makeup looked insanely good at the end. Very talented makeup artists :)

I have shopped at mecca for years, I usually shop at the Fountain Gate store however I think it’s important to flag this with your Chadstone staff members.I purchased a few skin items back in March and advised the girl that was serving me that I’m pregnant and to check if the items were ok to use in pregnancy.She checked the ingredients and said it’s safe to use during pregnancy.Well today I went back to my local store (FG) to restock these items and was advised that one of these products I shouldn’t be using during pregnancy.I felt so disappointed that I trusted the staff member at the Chadstone store and used this product throughout most of my pregnancy.Please ensure if your staff members who don’t know the answer to skin care concerns ensure they ask a staff member who has more knowledge especially to avoid something like this happening again.I’m really disappointed I trusted the team and now don’t feel confident in buying again unless dealing with a skin specialist specifically.
