Bakehouse Steakhouse

If you genuinely love steak, this is the place for you! I ordered T-Bone steak (rare) and it was delicious. It was cooked exactly the way I wanted and the Cafe de Bakehouse sauce was chefs kiss! The sides are great also! You HAVE to try the wedge salad (with blue cheese). Bake house Steakhouse is our new favourite spot - the pictures are from two different visits (Lunch and Dinner).

For a steakhouse, the steaks were undercooked, chewy and overpriced. We asked for medium, you know a warm pink centre. You would expect to get a decent steak knife to cut through the meat, not saw it to death. The pork chop was dry and the crumble was burnt. I wasn't expecting half my plate full of french fries for the prices we were paying. The cocktails" were literally sugar juice. No kids menu even though we asked multiple times. It was cold and the wired seating were uncomfortable. We paid $500 for a group of 8. I won't be recommending the place. My partner said maybe for drinks but he was drinking wine

Quality used to be fantastic when it first opened, but quality of the steak is now a bit of a hit and miss. I ordered it eye fillet, which came out looking like it had been run over by a truck and left on the grill overnight to die! Extremely disappointed…

Quality food and good vibe.Steak was done beautifully medium as requested with a desired hint of burn taste. The salad is very tasty too. Friendly staff too. Got to drive so skipped alcohol though

Easily one of the best steaks I've ever eaten. This was the 850g dry aged op rib on the bone and it basically melted in my mouth as I tried to chew it. At $85 it's a special treat though and not something I order every visit. Amazing. The endless fries are a nice touch too, though I do wish they were a thicker cut instead of the shoestring (but that's just a personal choice). We've been here for few times and find that it can sometimes be a little difficult to get a server's attention to get more fries/drinks etc. The bar staff can get pretty busy too, so it can be a bit of a wait to get your drinks. Just have to be patient. Definitely recommend giving them a go.

This place is next level. The service was impeccable, the food was outstanding, and the atmosphere could not have been more inviting. My T-bone was possibly the best I have ever eaten, the roasted carrots were a perfect accompaniment, and the dessert was outrageously good. But the best part was our table waitress. She was friendly, knowledge, personable and basically awesome. I would 100% highly recommend The Bakehouse Steakhouse and I will definitely be back.

We love bakehouse steakhouse. What we didn't like was being charged $12 for the 2 extra bowls of fries my sons asked for Apparently you do not offer this fun service anymore. It is a shame we were not told about this, only to learn about it when I payed the bill. Perhaps you could inform customers that this is now the case. Communication is essential and you definitely are lacking in this service. Unsure if we will return.

SHOCKING Service! We were seated quickly which was great and the atmosphere was lovely so we had really high hopes for our dining experience. Unfortunately, this is not how the evening played out!We then had to wait 15 minutes for a drinks menu and even water for the table. Then waited probably 20+ minutes for the drinks and then finally were able to order dinner. It took well over AN HOUR for the food to arrive and several tables around us that ordered after or were seated after us, all got their food before we did. Our last side was “just coming” and even that was another 5 minutes. We are happy to be patient, but at no time did any servers check on us, see if we needed more drinks or water, or let us know there would be an extended delay on the meal. We had to resort to going to the bar to get an additional drink. When we finally asked about our food, there wasn’t any sense of urgency or apology for the extremely slow service. We understand when it’s busy, things can be slow, but the servers need to be better at communicating that to the guests and we shouldn’t have to hunt down servers for service! We expected better communication and care for the price we paid (Eye Fillet and Rib Fillet), but those were extremely lacking. Both our steaks were cooked wrong, but we didn’t bother even bringing it up to the wait staff as we didn’t want to wait any longer and figured with the apathy overall, we wouldn’t get anywhere.Upon paying, you expect the manager to ask how your service and meals were, but we had crickets so paid and just left. Also, for a “steak” restaurant, you expect the chefs in the kitchen to take a bit more care or have more support. While waiting to pay, we could see right into the kitchen and there only seemed to be one chef cooking the steaks and they were all just piled together so no wonder both of ours were cooked so poorly as they appeared to be all jumbled together. For the price you’re paying, the quality of steak, the overall quality of the final product and service should be MUCH better. Only plus side would be the portion of the chips / salad served with the steaks (although the chips were bland and cold when they arrived) and the wedge salad was really nice. In the future, we’ll most likely have to drive into Brisbane to get better quality and better value as we won’t be splurging at these prices again for what we received.Sincerely, very disappointed diner.

Had dinner out for my brothers 21st birthday. Just a small group of 6. The food was okay although my steak was very small, definitely not 200gr eye fillet. I think the kitchen also knew the steak was undersized as they completely overloaded the plate with fries.Overall the food was good but overpriced for the portion sizes and quality. The service was okay, one waitress in particular was great, wish I got her name to give her a shout out. The building is beautiful, great restoration job.
