Got a blue slip here, and it was absolute rip-off. Bought a BMW in Melbourne, had it serviced and inspected by official BMW dealership, adjustments made, no issues. Transported to Sydney with professional closed transport, and then dropped off here to do blue slip. Says shocks are leaking and requires replacement, tires have to go as well, a blue slip became a $2000+ repair. They used KYB shocks that retails less than $200 from a bunch of Australian retailers, then charged twice the amount for a front only replacement. Tires had no problem except expensive compared to Tyrepower, but the alignment was off the chart as they have no professional 21st century alignment equipment to do it and the car starts pulling to the left after 15km/h. All of this and I have the BMW's service report in my hand and I let them did it cuz I needed the car. The car was later realigned at Tyrepower and adjusted by BMW dealerships. If you drive a budget car and get something done here cuz you aren't gonna afford a rip off, you're probably fine. If you got anything good, just go to a dealership, otherwise they'll get you if they see the chance coming.

The team at Alexandria Automotive have always looked after my Golf with a level of thought and care that is difficult to surpass.I also value how they discuss any work the car needs in a way that I understand and feel confident in.

Great service , were able to fit me in at late notice as my rego was expiring . Also were able to source a broken headlight quickly. Highly recommend

Very happy with the quick service I got from Ash! He helped me fixed a punctured tyre and cleaned the corrosion off the battery in 10 mins! Highly recommend. Anthony

0/10I should have never come to you guys in the 1st place. Even after reading so many negative reviews I still came because I live close and it was convenient. All I needed was pink slip and after inspecting my vehicle for half an hour they couldn’t come without any thing except to ask me to change front tyres. Like really I just got my car serviced a few weeks ago and the tyres are brand new. I told me I will go somewhere else for inspection as I don’t trust them. They ask me to pay inspection fee and threaten me I can’t take my car without paying. Why u should pay you guys when you are just dodgy mechanics who just want to rip people off. I am gonna lodge a dispute against you and I warn anyone to never ever visit them. If you are a person who doesn’t know about cars much they gonna rip you off. PeriodAnd I have proof with pictures and I also made video while I was talking to you.I am not gonna let you eat my hard earned money.

I went first time for my car general check up. After mechanic said labor charges.invoice $160 for no reason.Making Fool all customers.Doggy mechanic.Not recommended for any one.

After paying an exorbitant amount for pink slip, service and oil change (was also quoted $800 for brakes but got them replaced nearby for less than half that), they failed to reattach the skid plate correctly and it came loose whilst travelling at 110kms on the M1 in Christmas traffic. We were escorted by emergency services into a breakdown bay where they removed the plate for us and advised there was only two screws holding it in place. When I had it repaired by a reputable mechanic they used 14 screws.After reporting the incident to Kyle, who took zero accountability and argued with me that it wasn’t dangerous and only required two screws, we had to find a mechanic who was open on Christmas Eve and paid to have the vehicle repaired (again) whilst on holidays.Looking forward to Kyle’s patronising reply!

I genuinely dislike posting poor reviews as I appreciate human error can occur when services are provided.However, after multiple attempts trying to resolve my concerns in-person and via email - to no avail - I share this review hoping it will help others make a well-informed decision about who they engage for their automotive services moving forward.Long story short - my loyal mechanic of many years was away and suggested I reach out to a local Alexandria mechanic for 1x part for my air con. I sought a quote from 3x different mechanics and was quoted $100-150 including from this mechanic. Unfortunately, when I went to pick up my car they advised me it would cost $400. I advised this was not what I was quoted and tried to resolve this with multiple mechanics to no avail. I then sent an email hoping the relevant staff member could assist me with resolving this - no reply. Subsequent to this I communicated my far from ideal experience to other reputable (and trusted) Mechanics in the area - only to be advised they have had numerous happy customers come to them after being charged exorbitant prices, by this same garage.Net, a valuable learning lesson in this is: (1) not paying any money in the first instance when they request $100s more than quoted (I paid on the spot hoping to resolve later to no avail); (2) being cautious about ‘excessive’ high star reviews on Google, for businesses, when compared to other local auto service providers; and (3) those who engage in dishonest business practices likely paying $$ for lots of fake reviews in an attempt to lure business: highlighting the importance of checking the number of reviews others similar service providers have - in addition to making local inquiries before seeking parts at short notice.Therefore, while I hoped this unfortunate experience was a one off. It is evident, after multiple attempts seeking to resolve this w Alexandria Auto and them not replying to any communications - that this was not human error. Rather, poor customer service which places no value on customers w concerns nor promptly resolving concerns, when the company have provided customers with false, misleading and inaccurate information (prohibited under consumer law) relating to the cost of services a customer engages them for.
