Wreck Beach
The beach itself is just as nice as most of the surrounding beaches, the main draw here is the wreck which would be pretty tide-dependent. We went when the tide was 0.8-0.9m (referenced at Cape Otway) which was enough to get your feet wet with the waves. Probably not worth the trip if the tide is much higher than that. And the stairs... apparently the equivalent of 26 flights of stairs according to the phone.

Nice beach and lookouts. Stairs are fine on the way down. The way up is the killer! There are two different wreck areas/walks. One is a long walk to the left near the top, the other is a short walk down the stairs to the right when you get to the bottom. We were there as the tide was getting higher so we could still see the anchor but we couldn’t get close to it or see the rock pools. No toilets. Not wheelchair or pram accessible.Decent size car park.No tables or chairs/benches.Also, be mindful that the road to here does turn into dirt and gravel. Sometimes there are cows and dogs on the road too.

The walk down and up was seriously the longest walk to and from the beach I have ever come across. No one can prepare you for the amount of pain the stairs will bring and the wreck was average compared to others I've seen. Still a nice place, just an epic hike.

Wrecks Beach isn't the place to go if you want to swim, but how much can you swim in the cold waters off the coast of Victoria anyway. It is however a piece of paradise if you are after a bit of a quiet hideout. While I swear never to visit the twelve apostles again for fear of the crowds, this was the most pleasant thing the Great Otway National Park had to offer

Welll worth a look. Decent quality road to the car parkWhen you reach the bottom of the stairs the anchors are west maybe 400-500metres.Note: decent set of stairs to be climbed down and up

Super steep incline going back up, the wreckage is to your right when you go down but we didnt see much except the anchor.

Gorgeous mostly untouched and undiscovered by the masses spot. Main points to consider.- road in/out is gravel, steep, really narrow in spots, a few blind corners, lots of potholes some of which are unavoidable. If you have a low car or your vehicle doesn't do well going up inclines I wouldn't recommend.- not accessible friendly.-380 steep, uneven, and worn dirt/timber steps down. It's pretty awful climbing back up. I was a Sweaty Betty.- Beach is so quiet and beautiful. Not another soul was in site even on a 37° day.- Wreckage remains are 500m from the base of the stairs (turn right at base of stairs)- Boot cleaner brushes on the way out near the carpark.

We made it 383 steps down to the beach. Not for anyone with bad legs! Beach not really a swimming beach - rocky. Be aware that driving to the car park is down an unmade road with a very steep hill - the local farmers have no sense of humour about rescuing stranded caravaners!

So even people who don't like to walk or who have difficulty doing so can get to these lookouts. About 400 metres from car park, so tracks are a little steep, but nothing too scary.

Great beach. Lots of stairs but well worth it. You do not know hat you may find here. Seals sometimes shelter here. Sometimes there are drifts of crystals on the shore line. Lots of untouched rock pools. The sand shifts and so this beach changes. Great secluded place and well worth taking the time to enjoy.
