We're here right now.The comments about the room being modern and seemingly clean are correct. The room itself looks a lot better than what you'd expect when you see the shabby building you're walking into. But:The motel doesn't even have a front, I suspect it's built behind the Chinese restaurant on the main street. The building looks pretty ugly. You enter through the back door. You park the car in the back, and then go through some absolutely non-inviting doors and a narrow passageway, just to get to the key box to check yourself in. I do not know where this friendly staff" is that a few reviews mentioned. I have yet to actually notice a reception at all

Booked a random one night weekday getaway here. As other reviews mention the room was newly renovated, and spotlessly clean, belying the exterior appearance of the property, we were very happy. Agree with mentions in other reviews that the security of the property is a slight concern with anyone able to access the hallway outside your rooms off the street, fortunately in sleepy Apollo Bay (well, it was sleepy when we were there) this wasn't an issue. All in all a very enjoyable stay and I would recommend this place to anyone.

Room look clean and neat. No lift available have to carry up own lugage. Heater must wait 10 mins. Plenty food availabe nearby hotel but mostly close 7pm

We spent two nights here in early March. The room is very small. Our room had a double bed and a single bed. The bathroom was also tiny. There was a leak in bathroom which made it hard to keep feet dry. They know about problem and are doing everything they can to fix it. The room was quiet and clean. The Wi-Fi worked well. The difference between outside and inside rooms is dramatic. Unfortunately the old building takes away from the newly renovated room. We found staff to be very friendly and helpful.

we stayed this motel for one night as our extent day at Apollo Bay. Great Value for money. the outside of the motel bit outdate, but interior was so surprise. the room was modern with wireless charge, fancy mirror with defrost function and multi-colors mirror lights. Led back bed light. new bed and furniture, diffuser.we would recommend to everyone.

DO NOT STAY HERE!there is no reception so you have to collect keys from a box and do not have the help of concierge or reception. It is very difficult to find we had problems finding the entrance and key pick up. The room had a horrible smell! Fridge was not clean and milk in the fridge was past it's expiration date.The sheets and blanket had yellow stains and they do not change the blankets on the bed. Horrible uncomfortable stay! Avoid this place!!

This Motel is hard to spot because it's not facing the beach. Instead you need to walk through a narrow lane to find the entranceThere was no one at the front desk. It was a self check inI was actually surprised to find a very clean room and sparkling clean bathroom after walking through and making my way to the 1st floor on the ugly spotted, stained carpet. Even the carpet in our room was not impressive and needed replacement.The price per night was only 108 dollars which was roughly 50- 70 dollars cheaper than some other Hotels, with a view, in the same area.

Our room was great, no microwave though and the shower took ages to warm, but apart from that loved it, the Chinese restaurant at the bottom is 1st rate, the lovely Michelle served us, service and food was 100%, looking forward to staying there again.

Newly renovated rooms with lots of unexpected modern amenities like wireless charging, heated mirror, toaster, plates / cutlery. Felt very luxurious. The room was also incredibly clean. Plus the wifi was very fast and the TV had all the channels.The doors are a bit thin and the rooms are small so you can hear the hallway a bit but this wasn’t a problem for me and I’m a light sleeper. Blackout shades were helpful. The building is also a bit drafty but the new AC/heater worked very well.As others said, there is no reception. It’s all a self check in/out. But staff are around all day and Michelle is available via a phone call. They stored my luggage for me after checkout which was incredibly helpful.
