Safari Lodge and Campground

Great place to stay. We had one of the lodges. Very clean and comfortable. Recommend.

Staff are super friendly and very very big camp sites up the back! Would recommend! They do breakfast and lunch too

We stayed in one of the cabins (no ensuite), it was perfect for our short stay. The bed was comfy and close to all amenities. So lovely to sleep surrounded my the rainforest.

Don’t stay here unless you want to camp on each other. The photo below includes our site and our “neighbour’s site”. We were told it was fully booked on the phone yet half the sites were empty. Many better options to stay at. Loud noise is not meant to exceed 10pm, however, no phone number is provided to complain of noise exceeded that time. Only good thing was the clean amenities. We booked to stay an extra night however as we didn’t get any sleep we decided to go home to cairns. No refund or credit was provided.*the reply provided by the company is completely non factual and quite frankly disgusting to say that a refund was not requested. Given that we left after the discussion and didn’t check out properly it shows the false accusations on there behalf’s in that reply.

Well designed ,clean unit in beautiful setting..Tea & coffee making facilities & two bedside lights not one , would add to its comforts .Nets strung above roof to deflect constant noisy falling of materials from the forest would be great, especially for sleepers like me who hear a cloud go by .

Great accommodation for backpackers and campers set in the rainforest at Cape Tribulation. Offer many reef and rainforest tours. Turtle Cafe has excellent food and youthful vibe. Most van sites are narrow, suited to camper vans rather than caravans.

Receptionist was pretty rude and the small unpowered campsite had a weird gross energy to it. Would suggest any of the other camp grounds if you have a tent/swag. We had a small private setting which I improved by removing foliage and debris, and then around dinner time two Germans were placed right next to us when we wanted privacy and we could hear them all night snoring. There were heaps of other free spaces why she put them right next to us is ridiculous. Then she ignored me for ages while counting money only to look up when other people qued behind me and with this terrible attitude, told me the night walk was booked out. Bad customer service and gross campground.

An amazing campground with all you need for your stay.The staff is very helpful.I have really enjoyed my journey at Cap Tribulation with us.

I stayed in the Safari King Hut. The bed was so comfortable. I liked the close proximity to local bar and restaurants and the beach. Neighbouring Accommodation spaces can feel a little close and noisy during peak season but otherwise a nice spot to unwind and get away from city stresses.

Beautiful large and more private campsites. Beautiful clean pool, nice and clean amenities.The setting is just amazing, too.
