Ari Rex - Photographer

I have now been to four of Ari's amazing workshops, so I am obviously impressed by Ari's teachings! If I could give Ari more stars I absolutely would.For those interested in my progression - I first attended his beginners milky way workshop and was immediately hooked. I have since attended his eclipse workshop, his old towns workshop and most recently the two night milky way workshop (absolutely stellar in every single way!). I have also been doing a one-on-one mentorship with Ari in a specific area of interest of mine.Ari has a wonderful and patient teaching style. He shows you step by step how to get great results from the very beginning. After attending these workshops my photography (particularly my astrophotography) has improved a huge amount where I am now very proud of sharing my work.Whether you attend a beginner workshop, or engage Ari for more specific private tuition I don't believe you could find a better mentor or teacher.

Ari has a wealth of knowledge which he delights in sharing with those who join him in his Milky Way Workshops. Although it was a freezing night, it was so worth it. Ari's passion and humour is contagious!

Ari’s 2 night workshop was amazing even though it rained constantly, the post processing and photographic techniques we learnt were life changing ( Photoshop and Light room classic just make sense now I just couldn't before!). New friends were made, lots of laughs to be had and just had a fantastic time. For any one wanting to seriously up their photography game this workshop is a must!

Ari is a very passionate photographer and loves passing on all his knowledge and tips in the form of stunning photos and courses that are nothing short of enlightening. I can't help but vigorously recommend him for any photography needs. I did a sunset photography course with him and left very happy with hundreds of photos.

Ari gives you a truly unique & genuine experience in everything he has to offer. I had an incredible photo shoot with him & was inspired to pick up my camera again after seeing his work to learn new skills in his Milky Way workshop - & then I did a second workshop with him! He holds a lot of knowledge in this industry which he generously shares. I highly recommend Ari if you are looking for a unique photo shoot or are looking to deepen your astrophotography skills - great for beginners through to advance.

We recently had Ari photograph our wedding and his work was impeccable. He was lovely to have around for the day, friendly, flexible with what photos we wanted but also had great suggestions as well as present for the big moments without being intrusive. He was very responsive to questions and emails in the lead up, with very reasonable rates. His photos are phenomenal and really capture our amazing day. Would hire a hundred time over, and would recommend him to anyone

Ari was kind enough to come and take photos of my daughters year 10 formal. We had an amazing time taking all sorts of different shots and pose’s, the kids loved it and felt very comfortable with Ari’s instructions. The images were so beautiful! Far beyond what I expected, so crisp and perfectly edited.I would highly recommend Ari for any type of photography, he is an amazing photographer and highly professional.We are looking forward to having Ari take many more special family moments for us.

I had my dream come true meeting with Ari at one of his Online Workshops and OMG I couldn't believe how informative and insightful this session was! I have been doing night photography for 4 years now and the quality of information, tips and tricks I got to learn from Ari was beyond my expectations! What I had learnt and provided by him through this lesson isn't something I could find any where in the internet, blogs or youtube! It is certainly something you should seek at the masters like him. Never to mention how down to earth he was with all his advices that he has spent all his career life learning and concluding. While I have been following Ari through social media for sometime, I can't wait to have the chance travelling to Canberra for meeting this Award winning photographer that we -Aussies- are lucky to have on our land!

I went on a Milky Way photography workshop with Ari last weekend. It was amazing. The session was very informative and very exciting (out under the stars in the middle of Namadgi NP). Ari is extremely knowledgeable and he has a rare ability to explain complex issues in simple terms. Above all else, Ari made the session fun! His enthusiasm made the 6 hours feel like 6 minutes. I will definitely attend more of Ari's workshops as he seems genuinely interested in sharing his extensive knowledge with his students. He also seems to really enjoy seeing his students develop as photographers. Many thanks Ari.

I recently attended a fantastic sunset photography workshop led my Ari. I’ve tried using my camera in manual mode before and read up on all the settings but my photos have never come out well, and any sunsets I’ve shot on auto mode have been washed out. Ari went through all the theory and got us straight out practicing different types of shots. I’ve got some beautiful photos capturing the stunning colours of Canberra sunsets and a bit of fun with light painting. I’m now way more confident about going out and shooting in manual mode on my own. Thanks Ari!
