The pub is trying to get back on its feet after Covid, so drinks are limited and no meals yet. But it was a great visit and great atmosphere. Keep going guys, don't give up. We'll be back.

Cannot give this place a lower score! Should be minus. Place smelt of mice, old mate behind the bar couldn't care less and had next to no manners. The bottle shop (if you can call it that) had no stock and was beyond over priced. Your business give rural South Australia a bad name! Even other business in the area said yeah we stay away from the pub!""

3 Star Hotel. This star rating is for the food.Stopped here overnight at the caravan park and went for a meal. Hotel is just your average regional old pub. Standard needs a bit of love place. Barman was not grumpy but not super friendly. Ordered a Beef Stroganoff and a Braised steak and Onion. $16 each.Fantastic. Great size for price. Thanks Port Germein Hotel.

Friendly service. Not a lot of eating options in Port Germein, the hotel has dine in or take away options or try the white van down by the jetty - absolutely best steak sandwich I have ever eaten

Pretty run down, but not exactly busy enough to improve anything.Had the schnitzel, first dinner stop driving from Perth, and wanting the typical SA schnito. What I copped had no love on the plate at all, overcooked to black on some edges, dry as, but soaked in oil from the fryer. A shocker, wasted my money. No excuses for such poor cooking.

Called in to get a bottle of wine , decided to have a beer with our friends . 3 X 10oz beers and a fruit poppa $23 . Absolute rip off , told by others that the bowlo MUCH cheaper.

Said yes when asked if I wanted ice in my drink, got that'd be right" because he had to go get ice. Sorry !!What happened to the bustling little pub that used to be ?Worst service and atmosphere ever.In the last 20 years of visiting I didn't think it could get worse. I was wrong!"

We decided to go there for dinner very disappointed. We had oysters which were under cooked and warm. My wife had garlic prawns which were over cooked and just warm. The chips were over cooked. If we are staying for a few nights we generally go back if the food is good. Sorry wont be back
