Loy Barber

My son gets his hair cut at Loy’s. He is 3.5 and HATES haircuts. He is a notoriously difficult customer at this stage of his life. The barber who cuts his hair (youngish lad) always does a great job, is so calm and never asks us to leave. My son is getting used to haircuts and always looks smashing. So much effort, and they always give him cologne/gel/a lollipop. Wouldn’t go anywhere else. Love this barber. Great service - and the barber is a credit to Loy’s. Thank you.

My son goes into get a trim, explained to the girl he only wanted a tidy up, she brings out the clippers and cuts his hair right back, he had a nice full head of hair, she obviously didn’t hear him because she had ear pods in listening to something other than her client, then proceeds to charge him $40, definitely won’t be back.

Fantastic cut, fantastic lads and great value. Had the owner cut my hair today true professional and made me feel like a valued and welcome customer. Highly recommended.Edit- The last cut the two available barbers on deck I had the inexperienced lady cut my hair (zero fade). The finished product was average at best with uneven lines and have since had to wait for my hair to grow out as my fringe was boxed in. I was charged full price for the cut which felt like robbery if I'm honest I would expect if an inexperienced barber is cutting hair and the cut is any less than what you would expect from more experienced staff the receive a heavy discount. Mostly upset there was a barber on that was experienced with these cuts and let the newbie butcher the job while he played on his phone.FYI I have had 5 previous cuts which have been fantastic this has been my only poor experience. I have since moved so unlikely to be back in the near future but would not suggest allowing new staff here to cut your hair with styles they're not familiar with.

I asked him for a short back and sides with quite a bit of length on top and he lined me up with a bowl cut. I had to specifically tell him to add texture to the front as he was taking the apron away. Still thens this is the most shocking atrocity of a haircut I have ever seen. Do not waste your money

The service has always been terrible at Loy’s, always a cold reception from the hommies playing gangster rap to make you feel like you’re in the hood.Initially I was impressed with the quality, and it kept me coming back. But, on the last two occasions, they were the worst hair cuts I have ever had; not to mention the price has gone up significantly, or maybe I was just ripped off?Making what should’ve been a pleasurable experience, a completely depressing one. Now I’ve got to walk around again with a seriously f’d up fade! Never again.In a saturated market of barbers, you would think a basic level of competency & service would exist. Best take your hard earned money elsewhere people.

My son has come home with the worst haircut I've ever seen. Plus charged $30 for it. Unbelievable. Never again. First and last time.

I usually come here to get my haircut,from the other side of Brisbane,where I live, because I always get a good cut from Loy.However not the case today,as I received a cut from the lady who was late and did an abysmal job,and then wanted to double charge me,to fix up her incompetancies. It was just a fade needed,but couldn't be done, even though she told me,she could do the job. Worst haircut I've ever had in my life. No style,shape or fade

If I could give it a 0 I would. The customer service is outrageous and the cut was terrible. The fade given wasnt even faded and the sides were different lengths. When it was finished they left me covered in hair and charged an atrocious price. Ended going to Aldo's barbershop as they cleaned up the trim and did what loy's couldn't. I wish I just went to Aldo's. First and last time there. Wouldn't recommend to anyone, not even my worst enemy. Thank god barber shops like Aldo's exist.

Usually I never know what to get for my haircut, but the guys here really know what they are doing?

Have gone to Loy a few times. Last two times I have seen the lady that works there (sorry, don't know her name). Always friendly and does the best beard trim I have had for a long time. Will be back.
