Bunjil's Shelter
A small simple car park at the end of the dirt track. Information display. The boulders around the area are great for children to explore, this proved more interesting to them than the painting. Just the one painting that is heavily fenced, but you can still get a good look and a photo.

One of the most significant Aboriginal landmarks, Bunjil’s Shelter is one place you can visit to admire the real history of this area. This is the only artwork by Bunjil, where he painted himself with his two helpers - the Dingoes. Although exact age of the art is yet to be determined, it is certainly more than 1000 years old according to current research. You get a good view of the Grampians also if you go a little further up.

Bunjil's Shelter
One of the most significant rock art sites in Victoria. This is the only known image of Bunjil in human form. As with a lot of rock art, it's not what you can see, it's what it represents. This is the creator spirit of many nations of Australian Aboriginal lore

Really really cool art. Unfortunately you get a sense of the vandalism going on consistently, it’s sad that so many people feel insecure about this. The art itself is located in pretty healthy bush, looking over a bunch of grazing pasture and further on Geriwerd. It would be nice to see the whole valley re-wilded in the future, but for now it’s worth it for the art alone.

It's a cultural important place that should be preserve. It's not a popular tourist place, so don't expect any funding and work to be done to the place. The walking paths around the area are very beautiful and peaceful.
