Hawkesbury District Health Service- Emergency Room

If i had a broken bone coming in, it would have set itself by the time i got to see a doctor.5 hour wait so far. And literally only 2 people have gone in to see the doctors. Great experience.

Extremely disappointing experience. My 2 yr old kid was made to wait 5 hrs for a head injury ! Easily the worst hospital i have ever visited in my life. Never coming back again !

Not from this area, but needed medical attention. Ambulance officers were fantastic, Nurses and ultrasound lady were awesome. So caring and friendly

I'd give zero stars if I could. My 2 year old daughter has been here 7 hours and they haven't given us any info. They are beyond rude when asking what's going on. There's 1 staff member on aswell

Will definitely not be returning type 1 diabetic ketones sugar levels in high 17 with covid and very sick told to wait someone will try see u soon 3 hours pass and am not seen to not even by another nurse to recheck sugar levels when asked if i could use toilet i was told i will need to go in a bottle with a room that has five windows to car park in it . I then called to say i was leaving and was meet with whats your name i told them and was then told to tell the lady outside . Worse hospital staff i have ever meet

Waited all night just for them to tell me go yo another hospital my husband had a very big kidney stone

Waited over 3 hours to see a doctor for my 8 month old who had a head injury. She was categorised as semi urgent. Waiting that long with a baby was not a great experience. Had to feed her due to how long we were there and there was also no where to heat up a bottle.

Yesterday, a Sunday, my wife went to the Emergency Dept for diohreea. We explained to the receptionist that we are visiting from New Zealand. She immediately put us at ease about no cost. Thank you to staff Dr (&instructor) Harry, a Pakistani lady Dr, Patricia, Kim, Rolly, and others for excellent care during the 5 hr visit. They detected a previously untreated condition while doing a routine exam. Excellent, friendly, efficient teamwork. Thank you very much.

Waited 6 hours. Doctor wanted to remove something without pain relief (I wouldn’t let her touch me because of the pain and she gave me a rude tone) and did not give me local until 2 hours afterwards. Best part was the intern who was helping me; sweetest person ever and the best doctor there

I attended the Hawkesbury Hospital ED last evening. I was immediately seen by the triage nurse, had BP checked and a cannula installed in my arm. Then a chest X-ray and ECG. My condition was diagnosed by a polite, highly-skilled doctor and successfully treated. I was given medication on the spot and a prescription for some medicine which I could buy next day from my local pharmacy. In addition I was provided with a full report to give to my own GP. I admire and commend the efficiency, thoroughness and professional conduct of the 6 different members of staff I was seen by. Yes, it all took 5 hours, but that is inconsequential compared to the standard of care provided. After all, it's not a drive-through food outlet, is it? It's a medical facility that treats all-comers without an appointment and with no out-of-pocket expense as it's all covered by Medicare. We should count ourselves fortunate to have these services available on our doorstep when we need them.Sincere thanks to all the team at the Hawkesbury ED. SD
