I stop into this place every time I’m in Ballina to grab a burger, yesterday was the last time I will ever be going to this place. The lady behind the counter was extremely rude, shouting at us the moment we entered the store to put our face masks on whilst I was putting mine on already then shouted at me to cover my nose, I don’t feel sorry for saying what I said because it was uncalled for and just plain rude. I understand we are in tough times at the moment, everyone is in the same boat, there are nicer ways to go about it rather then abuse your customers. Im not one to write reviews but feel I have to in this case. Last time I’ll ever be going to this place and will be spreading the word.

The lot Burger was absolutely amazing could not have asked for a better Burger. The chips were cooked to perfection. Whis there was somewhere to sit and eat though had to eat in the cold on wet seats at the park

Three times I’ve been here with my partner. First time my partner and i ordered it was cooked and salted to perfection, second i brought the fam bam along and they messed up the order and over charged us. Burgers were mediocre at best. They got the salt wrong and seemed super un happy to serve us when we’re bringing them business. Third time was disgusting sea food and calamari rings were stringy and had no salt, Chips tasted like cardboard and the thick shakes are water and vanilla syrup. would not recommend their over priced menu.

Had a last minute craving for fish n chips and Popeyes nailed it. Exactly what you expect from a riverside chipper! Best chips, best potato scallops, tasty fish, great batter, friendly staff. Opening the wrapped package when we got home was the stuff my fish n chips dreams are made of! Will become our go-to every time we are in town from now on!

Dreadful slow service.Potato scallops were small & undercooked , in oil soaked batter. Clearly the fryers hadn’t been turned on long nor hot enough.And then there was possibly the most underwhelming milkshake I’ve ever had.I won’t be going back. Especially since the pizza shop a few doors up managed to serve several customers in the same time frame.

we paid $40 for 2 crumbed cod, a medium chips and a small chips. the crumbed cod wasn’t even cod first of all, the small chips wasn’t even a handful of chips!!!! it was bs honestly. wouldn’t recommend going there

Short answer: Never again.Cons: Burger patty was a paste-like consistency. Legitimately the worst burger I've ever come across.Pros: Abrasive cook is a narcissist bully who will tell you all the gross, vivid details about her infected ear piercing free of charge!
