Apollo Whitsundays

We booked the 3D 2N tour on Apollo and had the best time! The crew were so knowledgeable and enthusiastic, gave us great info about the history of the boat and the whitsundays. So much snorkelling and so many swimming spots, it was so fun. The boat was recently refurbished and has comfy beds and new bathrooms. Also loved the hammocks on deck!

Though it is not specified online that younger passengers are forbidden on this trip - it should be carefully planned as to when under 18’s should be allowed to attend the trip. The owner of the boat thought that during our trip (when a large group of backpackers had all booked the tour) would be a good time to use the boat as a holiday, so there were two children running around the boat begging for attention and without being rude - being quite irritating (which is obviously not their fault, they were just being normal pre-teens). We are a group of young adults who had to continuously watch what we were saying and doing and at one point even watch over the children at a secluded beach because they were left unattended with us. Having the children aboard really put a downer on the whole trip for me and the others I was travelling with.Our trip included a free scuba dive and in regards to this there were a few things that made me feel quite uncomfortable. Firstly, I overheard the diving instructors talking about the equipment being faulty. One instructor was informing the other to keep quiet about a few things when taking the briefing because they didn’t work properly and apparently we didn’t need to know about this. This is extremely unprofessional and made me feel quite uncomfortable. Next, one group of divers were not even tested on their skills. In the briefing we were told that before diving we would be learning some skills like clearing our mask and mouths of water. One group was not given this opportunity which to me is absolutely absurd. The equipment and the training clearly needs updating aboard the Apollo.Being a vegan couple, we were asked to pay an extra $10 due to having a dietary requirement. The food we were given did not warrant this. There was no reason we should have had to pay extra, because our food definitely would not have cost any more than those who were not vegan - especially because there were a few snacks we weren’t even able to eat. Being given leftover risotto for dinner on the second day was really very disappointing - another reason why we should never have been asked to pay more.Finally, having been aboard other overnight boat trips, this one did not even come close in the way of information. We were never told anything about the Whitsundays and there was barely any interaction between crew and passenger. Overall if you’re wanting a fun couple of days don’t use this company.

Amazing Cruise!Nous avons passé 2 nuits et 3 jours dans le bateau en compagnie de l'équipage de bord qui s'est montré professionnel, passionné et agréable.Nous avons pu effectuer 2 plongée en bouteille ainsi que 3 ou 4 spots de snorkel.Nous avons le privilège d'arriver les premiers sur Whitehaven beach ce qui était génial !Hormis quelques problèmes techniques c'est un de mes meilleurs souvenirs !

An amazing journey through the Whitsundays.This was the perfect combination for 3 days of adventure. First go sailing on a racing boat, crazy feeling.Same day we had the opportunity to go diving on a colourful reef. And discover the beautiful Whitsundays island.Thanks to the amazing crew, were friendly, funny and professional.

We had a great time on Apollo. My son went diving and I went snorkelling. You can see evidence of the damage done to the coral 3 years ago but it is making a comeback and the coral and fish were beautiful. Whitehaven beach was simply beautiful. While walking in the shallows we saw plenty of small fish, stingrays and some small lemon sharks. The crew were very friendly and helpful and food was very good.

Thank you for this really nice trip. Everything was perfect. A lot of snorkeling and swimming. Few little walks as well. The boat has just been renovated by the news owners. Nice family business with a really cool crew as well.
