Friendly, knowledgeable staff, excellent prices

I went here to buy a book that costed $30 on “sale” down from $35 which was $22 at Amazon, Kmart and Big W, and $27 at Dymocks. The manager and other worker refused to price match to any store and the one who wasn’t the manager said he could price match to Dymocks initially. I get that you can’t price match to Amazon, Big W and Kmart but surely Dymocks? Not the staff’s fault really and you were nice enough and just doing your job but as a company, your sale prices are a rip off. It would have shown good customer service to honour Dymocks’ price due to saying that you honoured physical book store prices even if it was a mistake. It might be a good idea to change this non existent price match policy because surely you’d lose a lot of sales from this.

Management is appalling and lazy. For context I went to a QBD store far from home enquiring for a specific book that was explained needed to be ordered to print, they were lovely in suggesting they could order it but as it is far from home, I told them I would go to this store for ordering as I can pick up closer to home. After calling for days I finally got in contact with an employee of this store and asked if they could order the print up which they kept saying they couldn’t do (management refused), but as the other store was happy to do it the management couldn’t be bothered in doing this. After asking to speak to the manager personally they mucked me around by leaving me on hold then hung up and disconnected the phone so I am unable to call through. As this is the ‘boss’ of this store too lazy to make a simple order I am disgusted with terrible customer service and frustrated with the lack of effort for a simple job that was possible to complete. The employee was doing as told so I won’t assign blame towards them but come on that’s just a joke .

Friendly staff and great selection of books!

Great customer service and half decent range, but it's not really possible to see most of what they carry as the shelves are always blocked with boxes. We are in QBD Northland once a fortnight and have rarely seen the shop uncluttered.

Genuinely friendly & helpful staff! I don’t normally leave reviews but just wanted to thank the team working yesterday especially Steph. She truely went above and beyond to help me and I really appreciate it. She was so lovely and helped get us the books asap even though they were out of stock! (absolute life saver for the book club meeting we are attending next week without having bought the text yet, oops)Thank you so much!!

I go into this store often but most of the time leave without purchasing anything because I feel overwhelmed by their massive stock. On Friday 3rd of March at 7:30pm I went in to make a quick purchase of a book for a friend's birthday the following day and asked for assistance and got an amazing recommendation from the sales person. They were super approachable, nice and very likeable. I don't remember their name but they told me they work every Friday evening! I hope they get recognition for their amazing customer service skills.

one of my favourite book shops. they have a wide variety of titles and prices are very reasonable, and most often have been discounted. i always leave here having had a positive experience. one of the best book shops and i highly recommend to all avid readers!

Helpful staff and good selection of books. I really appreciated having recommendations about Australian authors to choose from for our grand kids.

Staff are lovely and attentive. They always have the custommers best interest in mind and the best recommendations for each genre. Highly recommend if you are looking for variety in books and good company.
