Laz and his team were great. Took my car to them to figure out a really loud noise my car was making. The first booking, nobody could figure out what was the problem and Laz invited me to bring the car back again to diagnose for free! Laz did not give up in finding out the issue and was very determined to find the problem in my car. Eventually, it got fixed and I was very relieved knowing that my car was fixed in good hands.

Laz & Sunny are lovely and made sure I was comfortable with their recommendations before they went ahead (zero pressure). Even got a vacuumed car, a few chocolates and snuggles with his gorgeous dog... Very happy customer!

Get a 2nd opinion. Outrageous prices for unnecessary repairs.Rather than seek the most practical, reasonable and cost effective solution - these guys push for a lobotomy when a bandaid is all that’s needed.Car repaired elsewhere @ 15% of the cost of their quote - 15%!!Vehicle runs great now, as opposed to different cars that I’ve taken here previously where they were never the same again.Think hard before giving these guys a try, they make you feel good about being taken advantage of.

Wonderful service from sunny and laz down at the workshop. Bought my first car and am not mechanically minded at all so had no idea what was wrong with it and if they were serious problems and laz held my hand all the way through the process spending heaps of time offering solutions and advice and explaining everything in great detail. Such a genuine and down to earth person. Made it such a easy and stress free experience that I will definitely be coming back. Truly cannot recommend enough

Just serviced one of our work vehicles with The Workshop. Couldn't of been more impressed with the outcome. Laz and the team communicated the faults, fixed the faults and returned the vehicle on a timely manner and within budget. Thank you and the team Laz! I rarely post any sort of reviews, but I knew I had to write one for The Workshop. Having recently moved from interstate, I was highly recommended The Workshop Hawthorn by a colleague who had been getting her car serviced from Sunny for the last 10 years. The friendly service and professionalism I received from Laz from the initial phone call to the complimentary pick up & drop off of the car was second to none. Laz was patient in explaining what needed to be done in layman's terms and informed me of all the costs involved so there were no surprises at the end. Definitely much better than the past experiences I've had at other shops of simply stating what needs to be done in mechanic jargon and handing me the bill. I can see why my colleague highly recommended The Workshop and why it has so many 5 star reviews. I will definitely be getting my next service done at The Workshop as well as any sort of work my car needs!

Had read a Reddit post once asking about best the Mechanics in the Camberwell/Hawthorn area and The Workshop had been mentioned positively, so when my daily driver Mx-5 threw a coil pack near Camberwell junction I thought I'd give them a shot.I've owned the car long enough to have gone through a range of Mazda dealerships, local garages and specialists for servicing and repairs and over the years, I've had mechanics try to sell me gold plated wiper blades, fluids extracted from unicorns and OEM air filters that wouldn't fit in the cold air intake. The Workshop didn't pull any of these stunts, the repair bill and minor service parts and pricing came in the region of where I was expecting, so there were no surprises.From a customer service viewpoint, both Laz and Sonny are highly professional, care about their customers and have a passion for cars. They performed a quick diagnosis of the issue and kept me informed of the progress and completion.These guys are great, do as I did, and give them your business.

Over the last couple of years we’ve taken our old Lexus down for servicing, (which we love) and the gents at The Workshop keep it humming.Great guys, honest… explain in detail any niggles that need ironing out. Good pricing.Highly recommend.

I called up the workshop on recommendation from my mum to request a service for my car and boy howdy am I satisfied!Not only did they get the job done at the time they said they would, not only did the car feel better to drive post service than it has in months but they were kind enough to keep the shop open for me when I was running late to pick my car up and Cherry on top, the pricing was extremely fair and reasonable!These guys are legends and absolutely deserve your business; 5 Stars coz I can't give 6, Definitely going back

Moved to Melbourne in need of a mechanic and saw the great reviews on The Workshop for good old fashioned customer service. Laz and Sunny have helped me out with three separate issues on two very different cars. Both are extremely patient, kind enough to explain mechanical issues and provide advice. They always phone before work is done and if changes to pricing arise. Pricing is very fair. Great to have a trusted mechanic nearby!
