We needed a shortened marriage waiting time so we could travel overseas. We contacted Amanda on Thursday afternoon and with her guidance had our application approved that afternoon and we were married at 10am the next day. Amanda was the simply the best. Her caring and the time taken to understand our needs and what we wanted from the ceremony made it an amazing experience. Amanda is a warm and wonderful celebrant. She made the whole process so easy. She is very collaborative. We felt like we had ownership of the ceremony with the support of Amanda’s wealth of experience. She also made a special effort to include in the ceremony the importance of marriage equality and the recent vote which afforded us the right to marry. Amanda really is the best celebrant!Amanda was very interested and invested in creating our dream wedding. She spent time meeting with us in person to develop our ideas and helped with ideas for our vows. Amanda also was very respectful and compassionate in finding ways to include our mums (who have both passed away) in our special day. We had a wonderful wedding in April 2021and the ceremony held by Amanda set the scene for a fun fabulous evening. Many of our friends and family commented on how brillliant, warm and engaging Amanda was. Many thought Amanda was an old friend of the family . Yet, we had only met Amanda 6 months before our wedding and in that short time, she took the time to know David and myself . And that is the magic Amanda brought to our wedding. She has the right balance of 'formal', mixed with warmth & fun. She listened to what type of ceremony we wanted and guided us with her experience.
