Cyathea Falls
Located at Tarra Bulga National Park, Cyathea Falls met all our expectations for a waterfall walk.An easy enough track through stunning temperate wet rainforests led us to the circuit to the falls. We took the east track that allows you to better see the path to the right that takes you up to the viewing platform for Cyathea Falls. The scenery was just lovely; it made for a relaxing meander through Tree Fern- rich forest and amazing trees. The path was clear and well managed. My kids like fungi and there were heaps of different varieties for them to spot and analyse. It was quite wet when we visited, so expect some mud in areas (so, wear old shoes and have plastic bags and spare shoes in the car!) and be prepared for leeches (have salt in your first-aid kit!).The information sign at the foot of the stairs indicated there were quite a few walks from that location (including a swing bridge), and there are also basic toilets at the carpark. Definitely the winning falls for the 5 we visited in the greater area.

Very hard to find the walk . Not enough signs. No signs in the car park or maps. We were lost and had to get directions from few people. If you are going from Yarram you need to go past Tarra falls. Then there is a car park with an arch and steps. Go down the steps and follow the path. No signs what so ever till you go closer. Very poor signage.

Such a pretty waterfall!A short trek from the nearby picnic area, walking back and forth across the stream itself, under lots of beautiful ferns and trees.Currently flowing quite well after all the recent rains.

Nice waterfall and short nice walk in the forest to reach the fall. Lots of ferns. Good place for picnic too. Plenty of car park. The fall itself is ok, not the best view since some big ferns block the view in front of the fall. But still a nice place to visit if you are in the Tarra Valley area :)

It was a really beautiful walk. The falls are relatively small but gorgeous just the same. There is a small waterfall before you get to the main one. The track is well maintained, however, can tend to be a little slippery in wet weather in some sections. Walking along the track is beautiful.

We went after a really big storm (hence the damaged bridge) but was well cleared, great little walk, easy for children

Stunning waterfall. Take a short trek from picnic area to the waterfall. The trek is very easy and well established. Few small overpasses across the creak along the way to waterfalls. The west trek is closed due to fallen trees.( 20.11.2022)The fall is really beautiful and serene. I think fall is full when it’s raining.Be careful of leeches

The rainforest is what life is about, fresh, clean at peace with the world, numerous collections of fungi, moss covered ferns and trees, well defined paths, Easy walk, the sounds of the flowing creek, The native bird life. Wonderful natural wonder a must see on your own or on a family holiday.

1,5km-20min loop walk (Tarra Valley Rainforest Walk) from the car park. Really inside the rainforest. Slippery when wet. A few steps. Cute small waterfall. Picnic area and toilets.
