Fixers almost everything. But charges are high

Kawasaki Whipper Snipper- Spine detached from gear box and head wouldn't turn. Brought it to him and was fixed in a week. Cost $98. Cash only and no receipt given. 6 weeks later broken again with same issue. When I picked it up he told me it was an easy fix just needed to be greased so when it broke the second time I called him asking what grease should I get to fix it and he said grease can't fix it and he needs to look at it again. Took it elsewhere and is now fixed properly.Rover 22'' Commercial Mower. Drive cable snapped. Priced me for a new cable. Didn't supply new cable, modified the old one and fixed spring with a coat hanger... Honestly a coat hanger. When I mentioned it he said theres nothing wrong with this method. Also a handle clip was broken and he put a completely different spinner from one of the hundred mowers in his backyard. Total cost was $125. Again cash only and no receipt.
