Terrible construction company. Had our first home built by them, immediately after moving in we noticed significant corner cutting, door handles, tap handles not aligned, leaking pipes, glue residue everywhere on the floor, broken switch in a brand new premium" property. Now a couple months since we moved in

If your silly enough NOT to read the reviews about this builder you deserve the problems you will face immediately. I have had several appartments from different builders but this builder is pathetic. If you decide to use them you should offer them a room to rent because they will be their for the next 7 years fixing all the mistakes they made. I advise you strongly to stay away.

Don’t rely on this company to take responsibility for any defects that you did not report before the hand over.A crack in my FWG riser which is not visible and impossible to detect at hand over becomes my problem. It’s disappointing and just beware !

WARNING: TERRIBLE BUILDER. (I would give this 0 star ratings if I could)I’m not the kind of person that usually leaves reviews, but I was so appalled that I felt I needed to write one.I just moved into my new apartment at Yarra Bend after waiting 2 years for completion. I was utterly disappointed when I walked through the doors, to what seemed like a second hand apartment. Ironside say on their website that “The pursuit of perfection is our foundation.Built by consistent and unsurpassed attention to detail.” I’m sorry to say, but there was ZERO attention to detail and it was many, many, miles from perfection.Firstly, I had pointed out 40+ defects in my presettlement tour with Yarra Bend, only to then settle my apartment and discover that none had been actioned by Ironside. On top of the existing defects and missing parts, I managed to find another 20+ defects upon receiving my keys.Here are some of the few to summarize:- Missing blinds on windows- Bountiful scratches and cuts on walls and surfaces- A gaping hole in the laundry section and sawdust left scattered across the apartment- Dirty floors- Malfunctioning locks on bathroom doors- Wobbly doors- Faulty lights (50% dimmer than rest of the rooms)- Incorrect placement of toilets- Plethora of holes in the walls disguised with round sticky removable dots- Missing shelves in bathroom- Torn carpets- Scratched metal frames- Pencil drawings left in wardrobe walls- Chipped wood on doorframes and walls- Gaps in adjoining sections of walls- Ripped plaster on walls- Burnt sink and glue left on surrounding area- Dirty floors left with sawdust and purple tintIt’s unfortunate I didn’t have a choice of the builder, if I had known this would be the result I would not have purchased a property in Yarra Bend. Utterly appalling for a luxury home builder; let alone any reputable builder, full stop. My property of 10 years is in better shape than this so called “new” apartment.

I was approached and harrased by Will Johnson, who claimed himself the chief in the recruiting process of Ironside. Abosultely unprofessional and deceitful. If you unfortunately being approached by him, stay away.

Please do not recommend or use this building company unless you want to pay someone else to fix all their mistakes after you move in.Alot of defects have been listed for this building company to fix as I bought a new apartment and noted them down on a number of occasions.Pre Settlement Inspection, on the day I moved in and when one of their builders came and looked at the defects.- Doors not hung properly so the door does not close and screws buckling the wood out at the bottom of the door.- Chips taken out of the wooden floors before I moved in- Doors not even installed before settlement- Water leaking into apartments- Bad painting in general for the apartment- Flooring sinks in places- Bathroom doors not square and gap on the topThe list goes onTheir so called 'high standards' are absolutely appalling and I would not recommend using this company or any building built by this company.They are responsible for fixing defects but are saying they these are to Australian standards and won't be fixing the defects.

Terribly unprofessional, and they also outsource to unprofessional and questionable sub-contractors. They held on to info/quote related to fixing a defective intercom (which was not even 2 years old), for 4 months, Until it was out of builders’ warranty, before hand balling back to me to sort out with the electrician they had engaged to look into the issue. The electrician is also a bit flaky, as I asked for a quote a few times and each time he’ll say yes I’ll send it to you, but never does. I’ll rather pay more to deal with the actual security company, then deal with these guys and their contractors.

Incredibly poor service and work done by Ironside. 45 Defects found with only a handful of them being rectified on handover. Ironside remain unresponsive and refuse to fix there own defects

Lots of defects that could have been avoided. As they installed they scratched the floors and kitchen benches - forget after sales services - they are the master avoided.

Ironside did a terrible job at South apartmenrs and duck and weave when it comes fixing defects.
