Bakers Delight Head Office

Been a fan of bakers delight bread for over ten years now however I’ve been struggling with the size and shape the last few years. Shape is not square and get holes in them occasionally. More than one store too. Sorry but I’m now an occasional customer.

I thought I would try the brioche roll 'filled' with lemon curd. I can't figure out how to post the photo I took but 'filled' meant a smear of yellow stuff just inside the hole in the side of the 'brioche' . Probably about a quater of a teaspoon of processed yellow muck.

BD in Gateway Leopold - had poorly cooked and stale products there in the past - today refused items because the baker had fresh open wounds on his arms, was slovenly and made a poor attempt to pick up items with a screwed up piece of paper but was actually handling the items - food hygiene zero.

Called head office to complain about baker at Carnegie smoking in uniform out the back of shop in plain sight of everyone. Spoke to Peter who didn't really care about my complaint. Said worker was not breaking any policies. Won't shop there again. Also on that note = I'm sure that food handling without gloves is a breach of food handling procedures by Department of Health. I don't know why bakers can be handling food without gloves but other places such as where I work you would be in lots of trouble for not wearing gloves.

Love buying Bakers Delight pizza bases as they are quick and easy for when I don't feel like cooking. But unfortunately today at the Patterson Lakes store I was very disappointed as I bought medium size bases, they looked flat instead of slightly risen, I made 2 margarita pizza's followed the cooking instructions but had to cook them longer as they were still uncooked. The bases did not cook at all and tasted raw dough. This has put me off from buying them again.

I Like the local franchise and its staff, very nice people.Yesterday they told me the blueberry danish I have bought every day on my way to work for the last 3 years has been changed by head office, the new Danish is terrible, It has much less filling, its all pastry and of a lower quality. No longer like a Croissant with a good filling ratio.The staff are not happy that like me, many customers have complained.It isn't their fault, they want to keep making the danish the way they have always made them. They are embarrassed by the new offering they are being forced to produce.Long story short, I gave it a chance everyday this week, then in frustration I went to the competition bakery in the same shopping center, and I will now go there for my breakfast danish to from now on. I will probably buy their bread as well.Bakers delight's business model seems broken, they don't listen to their most valuable assets, the franchise store owner who is face to face with customers every day.

Have been a customer of the Stud Park store for 12 years but I will not be going there again.I buy 3 loaves at a time and in the beginning they were always out of stock so they told me to order in advance and I'm good with that the only problem is that half the time they either don't save it or end up selling it before I get there. The last time about a week ago the baker answered and I placed my order and asked if he wanted my name and he said it's Philomena so he knew who I was but when I got there again no bread. Won't be going there again

I wish Bakers Delight could get the fruit loaf consistency, which a lot of stores only bake a few times a week.I bought from Bulleen Plaza shop on Sunday 23rd September, got say a 10 out of 10, good consistency, abundance of fruit & lasted 4 days until it was all gone.I'll definitely be back as the saying goes.Returned on Sunday 31st September expecting the same as the previous week.Well what a disappointment, dry texture with less fruit tasting like it was about 4 days old.A rating 2 out of 10.Definitely not the same flour used in this loaf.From a Franchise we expect better and consistency.As the week lingers on the fruit loaf is drier & drier with lack lustre flavour.

Rosanna shop said they wear face masks, no masks to be seen,there were , around 8 junior workers in a small space,with no circulation, very unprofessional, must say very nice Boston bun
