Fresh Food People but none of the food is fresh, worst part is alot of local businesses buy ingredients here, staff thinks locals are rich and pompous and actively avoid looking at customers in the hopes you wont ask for anything and if you do and its not on a shelf, it really just depends on if they can be bothered to check out back. They think they have a monopoly on the area and that you have no choice but to shop here. Food delivered with rotten fur growing fruits whos juices have leaked all through the box are still put on the shelf for your consumption.

Most expensive Woolworths in NSW Poor range. Go to Coles instead. l avoid it like the plague. Have not met one person who likes working there. The management is draconian towards staff. Go anywhere else

Used to be ok, given its small size, when I moved to Balmain 2 years ago. Then they started to not care if large numbers of stock were empty. Then they started replacing normal frozen foods for fake meat garbage.I work near Five Dock, so the Coles there is my supermarket now. Shelves always full.

It never has what you want so i always have to go to Leichhardt so im just gonna go to Leichhardt from now on and its ashame as i only live down the road but ever since woolies got a make over its never been the same

This Woolies has been slowly deteriorating for a while, but has really gone down hill over the last couple of years. Now it’s more of a second rate Metro style Woolies now. Shelves are regularly missing key items and produce. Food is rarely fresh. Whoever is managing this place is doing a pretty dud job of it… Go elsewhere if you can.

In recent times stock items and levels have become very limited. We can no longer do a full shop here, Broadway Coles much better stocked and Harris Farms best option for all fruit and veg.

Up there as one of the worst Woolworths I've been to. The fresh produce is appalling, and it seems apparent that they're taking advantage of the limited grocery shopping options available in Balmain. Definitely shop elsewhere if you can.

Don’t normally give bad review but this morning I was abused buy a customer telling me to hurry up and pay while I was packing my own bags while the employee was chatting to the customer and not bothering to help me so I could have paid faster. Some of the staff are very rude do not bother to help you at all. There were plenty of other counters and staff where this bully of a customer could have gone to pay and the Employee could have told him that. Woolworths Balmain is getting worse by the minute. Customers should come first.

This is a pretty tiny Woolworths and should really be branded as Metro. Has all of the essentials for as small shop but you wouldn't want to do a big shop here.
