This is a great school with nice, positive vibe. My daughter has been learning jiu jitsu for the past 2 years and now she is stronger, physically and mentally. She has recently joined the Yoga classes and is in love with her community and teacher. All the teachers are professional and yet caring! Thanks to all the teachers :)

The Academy of Grounding
I love the Academy of Grounding! I joined initially for Kory's 40 day Yoga program and then later also became curious to try the Jiu Jitsu and Ginastica (a mix of yoga/jiu jitsu/animal movements - very fun!). The community spirit here is so warm and friendly - and like nothing I have experienced elsewhere. There is a female only self-defense class on Tuesday evenings for us ladies that want to dip our toes in trying something new and empowering :-)

I was lucky enough to experience Academy of Grounding for about 6 weeks and loved every part of it. As soon as I walked into the space I felt at home and the teachers and members were so warm and welcoming. The lessons I learnt over that short period through the practice of BJJ will stay with me. The teachers brought joy to my heart. Thank you for providing such an amazing space for people to practice bjj :)

Such a welcoming and friendly environment to learn in. Teachers are very knowledgable and willing to take time for each and every student. Both my girlfriend and I cannot recommend this place enough to our friends who are looking to do brazillian jujitsu, yoga, or ginastica natural.

You want to try but you're feeling nervous? This it the place you need to visit. Relaxed, comfortable, and welcoming. Professor Lauro and his team have created an environment that makes you feel in the presence of family and old friends the moment you enter.At the same time Professor Lauro and his instructors have serious game themselves, so if you are a more advanced student who wishes to seriously sharpen your skills you will also find yourself in the right place.*Highly* recommended!

The Academy of Grounding
I recently visited this very beautiful BJJ academy with a great culture and vibe. Professor DeAngelo taught very well and with great humour! He also gave very clear direction about expectations for rolling (e.g; tell each other about your injuries, look after each other, easy rolls in middle of the mat, hard rolls at the outer ends of the mat so expectations are clear), which always impresses me. The other students were friendly and keen to share the experience of learning the art, not just smash (although of course if you do want a hard roll that's available at the corners of the mat, just agree with your training partner and it's on haha).
