Great food at an affordable price. It is in the old tenis club, so atmosphere is very tenis clubish. But, the food was very tasty- we will be back.

If your looking for casual dining in relaxed atmosphere with Excellent Italian Food, then this is it. We were unsure what to expect, but the Food was quick and delicious and reasonably priced. What more could you ask for. We will be dining here again regularly. Loved It!!

It's the Tennis Club :)We had bruschetta, salt & pepper squid and the Ravioli with Bolognese sauce, plus the Veal Scallopini ala Pizziaoli with vegetables. We were thoroughly pleased, and the staff were all lovely. AMEX is accepted here too!

I have to admit, the venue isn’t the most glamorous, but it’s more than made up for by the food.Maria serves up wonderfully flavoursome Italian dishes, just like Mama used to make. The servings are generous and the prices reasonable.The place is licenced and while there isn’t a huge wine list, there’s enough to choose from for a great meal.It might not be the perfect choice for a romantic dinner, but if you just want good food in a relaxed atmosphere, then it’s definitely worth a try. It would be perfect for a family outing combined with either tennis or a game of mini golf next door.

Easily the worst Italian I have had in Newcastle. The staff are rude and have no idea what food they are actually bringing you, the food is oily, overcooked and and inedible, the table was sticky when we arrived and the booth seating had dusty footprints all over them. The food came out within an hour and a half of ordering; some entrees come out, then some mains, then some more entrees and then after asking where our food was and being yelled at that “boscaola and carbonara are the same” we finally got our last meal (I do note that everyone else had finished their meals). Also take note of the 12 year olds working within the restaurant. The young boy is extremely confident and knows what he’s serving and when but the young girl is extremely quiet and had no idea what food she was bringing out - we had to figure it out ourselves and it was regularly a meal meant for a different table. Do not recommend, I will not be attending again.

Wow, waited over an hour for our pizzas. Asked for espresso martinis which were on the menu, staff said they did not know how to make them".NOT authentic Italian by any means.Our friends waited 1hr 45mins for their pizzas.Wine is a terrible selection.Absolute chaos evident from the kitchen.Zero stars if I could. For the sake of the new golf business

What a waste of time in dining at this venue. Disgustingly presented food, staff were obnoxious & considering the very small number of patrons the wait for food to be served was overwhelming, plus nearly all meals odered came to the table either luke warm or COLD. The wait staff seemed unconcerned about this fact & several our group left the so called presented offering & chose not to eat it as the attitude of the staff really said it all. It'll be a cold day in hell before I would ever consider returning to this venue. # Definitely a place to avoid.

Think FAWLTY TOWERS meets high school slow learners kitchen and you might come close to the disappointment that this dining experience is. Already overpriced menu I was told had gone up since being printed when I questioned being overcharged. Waited Forty five minutes for a pizza that was not even the pizza that I ordered. Such a shame.

The staff are so warm and lovely and the pizza was absolutely amazing. I’ll definitely be coming back to this place!

Delicious Italian cuisine in a casual atmosphere. The Scallopini Alla Pizzaiola was beautiful. Large portions. Can highly recommend.
