Lots of stairs to access the pylon lookout but well worth it for the amazing view. On a clear day there are beautiful views all the way to the ocean, circular quay and darling harbour and the west. It was a little more expensive than we thought it would be at $25 for an adult, $16 for a concession. There are toilets available half way up. The video history at the end has captions which is great.

Purchased my ticket online a few hours before my visit. The view was great from the top. Really mesmerising. You can get a great lookout of Sydney. Would definitely recommend this as part of your trip.

In my opinion, this was a MUCH better value than the bridge climb rip-off. For a few bucks, we got similar exercise, same views, AND we got to take our own photos with our own camera! We spent less money than the “bridge climb” by taking a private helicopter tour, and this pylon climb, and a ferry across the harbor all combined. Way better value!

The views of Sydney opera and buildings around, are great from this lookout. It got a 20$ entrance ticket and there are no elevators here, you just have to climb up the stairs!

Visited here with my partner and her father on a Tuesday, we arrived just after opening time so it wasn't too crowded. There are around 200 steps to get to the lookout at the top, however there are places to stop and catch your breath on the way up, including the counter where you pay the admission fee, and a small gift shop further towards the top. Some of the landings include small benches where you can sit and rest. There are several information panels at various locations throughout, providing interesting information about the design and construction of the Harbour Bridge, and some scale models of engineering features of the construction. Also featured is a small theatre, showing a short documentary about the bridge. The views from the lookout at the top are stunning, worth the admission price alone. Plenty of opportunities for photography, you can walk around the walkway for 360 degree views. While it wasn't crowded during my visit, during busier times remember to be courteous and allow others to get their views and photographs once you have gotten yours.

Great views over the city and the bay. The museum is small but informative and includes a good mix of reading material, videos, models etc. Staff are friendly. There is a small gift shop with restrooms. In my experience there is no need to book-- on a Saturday morning in May I had the museum and lookout almost to myself.

Beautiful views from the Pylon Lookout. Definitely worth the $19AUD per person stairs to the Pylon Lookout observation tower around the middle of the bridge. It is a much less expensive alternative to the bridge climb and you are allowed to bring your camera here which you cannot do on the bridge climb. The downside is that it is only open till 4PM. It is recommended that you do not come here after 3:30PM so you can take it all in. I could only imagine the night views of the Opera House and Sydney Harbour from here.

Great views from the Pylon lookout! We bought the tickets when we booked our bridge climb and pylon tickets are half price then! They’re good for a full year so you don’t have to do the bridge climb and pylon on the same day. It’s a really place for photos, as you can’t bring cameras up on the bridge climb but the views from the pylon are pretty awesome too! Would recommend on a sunny day! It was quiet when we were there so plenty of time to enjoy the views and take pictures. The museum is also very interesting.

Pylon lookout offers stunning views of the Sydney harbour, Opera house, bridge itself and Sydney skyline. It’s a 200 stairs climb to the top but it’s absolutely worth it. It’s a quick & cheaper option than the bridge climb. It also has great information about the building of Sydney Harbour Bridge in 1932 and how this engineering masterpiece was all bought together. Definitely worth it if you are in Sydney.

The climb to the top of 100+ stairs is worth the views from the top of the bridge pylon. After descending the stairs, continue your trek across the iconic harbor bridge for more great views. If you don’t have the energy to walk back, you take the ferry back across the harbor.
